For anyone who would like to know, heres what's happening with the two goldens.

First, Duke(male) has been here for the past two days. Okay. His owner comes to get him tonight. The owner(his wife) is the sweetest person. These dogs are her babies. She was telling about the dogs and said Jaden(female) used to sleep with her all the time INbed. Duke was purchased from a very good kennel in Ohio, she didn't say the name though. He's an English Cream Golden Retriever. Name: Hazardous Duke. :p She's always wanted to do agility, she saw my equipment, but since she got pregnant, obviously couldn't. She seems like a really nice dog owner and I hope I get to talk with her more soon. Maybe even invite her over for some agility and doggie play time. Lizzie and Duke LOVED each other on the walks. I really hope to get together some time.
Also, another positive. When she and her husband found out they were going to have a child, they never intended to put the dogs outside. Only when they found out the baby had the diese did they have to. And I've got a feeling they havn't lived in this neighborhood beyond the woods long, because it's NOT good. No way they could afford two $800+ show puppies. Though, I think she is planning to have them start coming in soon. You can tell when she talks about them she is missing them inside.

Now, on to the not-so-good part. I know these dogs HAVE to be from amazing lines. Buuut thats not breeding quality enless you've shown them, even just do agility. She wants to breed them this winter. And....*sigh* we've been offered a puppy, for free I think since we've taken care of her dogs so much and been patient with them. Honest, I hope my brother takes her up on it. He's thinking about getting a Beagle(long story, again). He just doesn't know what he's getting himself into! My dad is inlove with Duke, he would LOVE a dog like him. And if we get the pup for free. I dunno. It's my parent's choice. *sigh* I'm tired of thinking about it.

So, just wanted to give you an update. She dearly loves these dogs. She's been through crap with Duke, first had parvo as a puppy then some stomach virus that cause him to not gain weight properly and after many many vet bills is healthy and needs to gain some weight.

Their 2month old newborn has some thing where if it gets scratched in any way it brakes out in blisters. While I understand the dogs could be a problem, they could make it work with gates and such. But I just found out they live in a Trailer so I see how that could be hard.....:(

That's wierd...and I mean that in the nicest possible way...I really hope they either keep mittens on him or keep his nails clipped! Newborns scratch their faces up so much...

I'm glad they have someone to love them but I really wish they wouldn't breed. Try to pursued them into at least health screening, the last thing you need is a dog who gets Hip Dysplasia in 3 years. If they don't do that then you might as well rescue a dog in need. Plus, I understand why the dogs have to be outside but should puppies really be raised out there?

I don't really know, Max. I hoping to see her again(which right now I will) and ask her about it.
