our little 5lb rosie is the worlds smallest German Shepard...

Vixie is the worlds smallest red fox
and Dodger is a Fennec fox.

Vixies been mistaken for a pappillion and a pomeranian before, because at 5.4lbs shes too big to be a chihuahua, her "heads not right" and "they dot come longhaired like that"
(shes a show standard been in the ring long haired chi lol)

Dodger has gotten Pap, a few times, and one guy honestly asked why i was walking my pet squirrell...*blinks* because ALL squirrells bark like chihuahuas at strangers didnt ya know?!

my favorite is rosie however, who out of the entire litter of 4 came out looking a little less like a chi in some ways (all the others got apple heads and gorgeous builds, she must be a bit of a throwback with a softer head and longer muzzle and almost a doxie lenght body lol) but yup, 5.3lbs full grown she is officially "the wolds SMALLEST german shepard!" on and shes a boy too!

Dodger and vixie are both girls, no matter what you say, despite the fact that one look at dodger from the side or while im holding him, its rather obvious...he may be small of stature, but hes been granted a gift in that dept (untill i took his balls that is lol)

some people are just weird.

the cresties are poodles that had their hair straightend...thats what one woman who came into the shop said...
they were asking what they were and i explained what a powderpuff crested is...as they were walking out one woman said to the other...shes just strightend her poodles hair so people think their special...*blinks*

Buster got called a Husky, and I believe once, a wolf by a child, but nothing too stupid from an adult yet.

Adults do want to know what he is though, they don't even guess however.

I get chihuahua a lot, Lassie a lot, but my favorite has been that Beau is a peke! He looks a lot like a peke, don't you think?

Scout, the chinchilla, always gets the weirdest ones- every kind of small mammal you can think of. Even a rabbit crossed with a squirrel once.

I always tell people Balou is a squirrel-rabbit when they first see him, lol. Or I tell them he is a squirrel/rabbit/mouse (cause of the ears) :p

ROFL! Do you know how hard it is to get a picture of a ferret? I don't think these guys even know the meaning of the word "still." But I promise I'll try.

Scout gets hamster ALL the time too! How many 1.75 lb hamsters do you see running around? o_O

Even people who know what chinchillas are don't know what Scout is because she's not a standard gray. Not many people know they can come in other colors. Whenever she's at the vet, she causes everyone to come look. They're all also amazed that I can pick her up and hold her and that she's so tame.

Still never gotten kangaroo yet.

It's Hamsterzilla! ;)

I have had people insist that Kaiden is a westie..cause JRTs are short haired (not always) long bodies (not supposed to be) dogs. I have had other people tell me I am wrong when they ask and I tell them my dogs are JRTs

I had someone ask me if Duke was a ridgeback. (He's brindle) This was coming from the man who was pushing his golden into my dogs face saying he gets along with all dogs, and my dog was very unsure and had his hackles up.

I love when people try to tell YOU what YOUR dog is...what's up with that? That would be like someone telling me my name is really something totally different. Or saying my child is really African instead of American. I don't really have a child but still :) Idiots.

I don't think I've gotten anything too crazy...most people can figure out Molly's a boxer, if not I think the only other guess I've gotten was APBT, which she really doesn't look like at all but eh, it's not too crazy lol. Everybody can tell Lucy is mixed with poodle, they usually just don't know that the other half is bichon.

The craziest non-dog one... my rats had been mistaken as ferrets once. Those people have definitely never seen a ferret before lol, but geeze how do you not know what a rat looks like?

The strangest thing I've gotten with Dance so far has been a Labradoodle. I've also had a couple people ask if she was a Vizsla, but most of the time they think she's a Golden. Very few people actually know she's a Toller.

Tango's been called a Malinois and a GSD/Golden mix more times than I can remember. I had one person insist she was a Newfoundland before.
