"Stacked" well, not really.

Face:

I know for a fact he is half Springer Spaniel. Not that you can see it. And if you saw his mother.. haha. None of the puppies look anything like her. She's a BYBred, undersized, fluffy little thing. Same personality, though--she radiates sweetness.

In looks, except for his muzzle, he takes after his dad. His dad is a mutt... definitely not of any particular breed.

Some of the guesses I've had have been "pit bull" (to which I of course explain that's not a breed and ask them if they mean American Staffordshire Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, etc.. ), Amstaff or APBT (I bet he's got some in there somewhere.. there's just a little bit too much likeness in his face), Labrador, and some breed of Hound.

I doubt Lab unless the lab (which would have to be a grandparent, if not farther back) it's a field Lab. I'm thinking a type of Hound would be likely, no idea which. He has a natural "point" thing (you know, the foot thing and the raised tail?) but I don't know how common that is.

Suggestions?

His head in the first pic makes me want to say some kind of bully breed, but I'm not sure and I suck at this kind of thing :p

I totally see pointer! Having been around quite a few pointers and looking at your other pictures posted that is my bet. There is obviously another breed in there, but that head and some of the body just really reminds me of a field bred pointer...

For some reason I see Great Dane in his face/muzzle. Especially in the first picture. I'm not sure how much bully I see in him. Like a Lab/Dane mix.

Well when I look at his head it screams lab to me with the exception of his stop which looks more pronounced then that of the average lab. That makes me think Rottie. Also rottie because of the shape of his head that you can see in the front head picture.

He's a cutie no matter what he is though!

In the first picture I thught his head looked very Great Dane like, but not in the rest. I also agree with Pointer, and possibly Lab. Not sure what else.

My breed guess would be Dane/Rott/Lab :) I see the Dane very prominently in his side profile...shape of muzzle. His head and eyes scream rott to me! I think the rotty also comes out in his body making him look like a bulkier lab. The lab takes over everything else. That's crazy I see NO springer Spaniel at all! :) I could see a little pointer in thought.

LOL this is why this is so hard. He looks a lot like some CKC/AKC reg labs, (minus the white) His head is pretty much lab. And he looks very very lab like in body structure. (to heavy for a typical field lab, but perfect for the 'inbetween' ones)

If you ever wanted to dog sports you could so get a PEN/ILP number as a lab.

If his mom is definitely a spaniel, then he would HAVE to be crossed with something of a heavier build than a pointer IMO, to get that bulk. I agree that it would be easy to ILP him as a lab.

But.. what exactly is a pointer? I thought it was a bunch of breeds, like we say "pit bulls" or "retrievers."

For some reason I see Great Dane in his face/muzzle. Especially in the first picture. I'm not sure how much bully I see in him. Like a Lab/Dane mix.
The thing is, he's half the size (in the chest, and body in some cases although labs vary) of nearly every lab I've ever seen, except the field breds. Dane? IMO not a chance unless it's pretty far back. He's about at my knees. ;) All the dane mixes I've ever seen have taken after their Dane parts and gotten tall.

If his mom is definitely a spaniel, then he would HAVE to be crossed with something of a heavier build than a pointer IMO, to get that bulk. I agree that it would be easy to ILP him as a lab.
Yep, mom's accounted for. That's why I stress it, LOL! Because I would never have believed it if I hadn't seen it and his sibs.

He just looks nothing like any Labradors I usually see. The face is completely different, as is the build and size...

Thank you all so much for the variety of answers! I think I'll just stick w/ calling him a Springer mix. Can you imagine me reciting all these breeds to people?

if hes that short (he looks MUCH bigger in his pics, i think that is what is deceiving us!) then i would put my money on a pittie. i looked at your other thread that had more pics, and i would say pittie and springer mix.

I really do see Dane in him... if his mom was a small springer spaniel, there is a chance that the dad could've had Great Dane in him.

His dad was smaller than he is, as well, though.

I agree with you, I can definitely see some resemblance in the lines of his face. But I just don't know.

Wow, he is small! I'd still bet my money on some dane/lab in his lines.

He looks soo much like the labs I see here in the obedience ring. A bit heavy for the ones I see in agility..I will see if I can find some pics. Oh and these dogs aren't at the top end of the lab height either. So I still stand by if you ever want to compete..you could with him as a lab.

From a dane person, I'm not seeing any dane in him. I'm not sure what he might be mixed with (he's gorgeous by the way) but I'm pretty sure it's not dane.

Doesn't it drive you nuts not knowing? :p
