This is Wager, he came in to rescue two weeks ago. He is very sweet and walks like a dream, you almost forget you are walking a dog when you take him out! He will be adopted quickly. :)
Does anyone else think he looks like a collie mix?

Maybe Collie but I see Chow! He is absolutely adorable though, I'm glad his adoption chances are high.

If he was a chow/collie only - you'd think his hair would be MUCH longer and MUCH thicker.. He could have some GSD in him as well?

I do see the possibility of collie in his face, the lenght of his muzzle (it's way thicker than a collie's would be but that might be caused by the other breeds in the mix) eye placement, and how the bridge of his nose starts between his eyes without dipping. If he had collie in him it would probably be a smooth coated collie because he doesn't have any sign of a regular collie coat. I see possibly chow as well. He's a very different looking dog, super cute :)

I could see smooth coat collie in him as well. But he looks a lot like a chow as well.

Cute whatever he is!

chow/GSD or maybe Shar Pei/GSD. The ears look like they could be Shar Pei ish. They eyes are chow (or maybe SP) The long muzzle and coat colour could come from GSD.

The thing with guess the breed, is that unless both parents were pure, anyones guess is good. I have met some cross bred litter where the pups, when grown, looked nothing a like. It was hard to believe they were even related, let alone littermates.

Cute dog though.

He looks like he's got some sharpei in there. The ears definitely, along with his muzzle and forehead. A friend of mine has a smooth coated chow sharpei mix, and she has barely any wrinkles but that same sharpei face. I don't think he's got much, if any, chow if his tongue has no spots of color. His muzzle looks just like what people call "bone nose" sharpei.

He could definitely be a pei/collie mix. It's hard to tell from just one face shot, but if you've got some from his side it will be easier to see.

Too true, Dekka. Middie is the spitting image of his father, but with a little more white and a spotting gene to the white like BP's Buddy or Momof2's (I think?) Lucy has. His sister was a reddish color, like Chloe or a lot of GSD mixes are. His other brother was black with a FLUFFY tail and a thin face. His mother is a Springer Spaniel that is practically a midget, she's less than half Middie's size.
