tough on toys, I mean TOUGH ON TOYS!

Have you tried the Wubba?? Orson could take or leave his Bad Cuz, and my husband saw a Wubba at the pet store, but honestly, they don't look like they would hold up to Orson.

He likes his Holee Roller, but I have decided no more stuffies because I hate sewing them back up. Choices are limited.

Tell me how the Wubba has held up for your little destroyers :D

Meg gave a Wubba to a friend as a gift - a GSD who kills tennis balls with a passion, although is normally nice to other toys. The Wubba lasted about 3 days:( .

my dogs got a wubba as a gift too, and man, mushroom LOVED that toy. it died in degrees, lasting longer than i expected. we still have the outer wrapper around, and that's still good for a game of tug now and then.

Dekka is crazy for her little pink wubba! I only use it during training, but as I let her chew it during other peoples turns it has stood up really well. She's not a tugger, but will even tug on it. The only beef is that the small one makes a really annoying noise. The bigger ones are better.

Wubba was it's own company and was recently bought out by Kong so essentially there are two different Wubbas.

My experience is with the original. We've had it for a month so far with great success. Not a mark on it, which can't be said for my slippers and numerous rolls of paper towels and a gabillion toys.

That is what I am afraid of...........I don't care how much a toy costs honestly, I would pay big $$ for one that would last a month!

I am just sick of picking up pieces and worrying if he has swallowed enough to make him sick...........it all happens so dang fast! There was a time I could say he wasn't that hard on his toys.........but since he turned about 10 months I can't make that claim any more.

He has destroyed Kongs, frisbees, countless stuffies & squeak toys.......all supposedly made tough for rough dogs. I am about ready to just buy him his own personal tractor tire and hang it from the tree!!!

Even the big XXL black kongs? He's gone through those? Wow...those last for almost a year in our big dog daycare with dogs that can behead a regular red XL Kong in about a minute, less if it's a smaller size.

I had to go look it up. I didn't know what a wubba was! :lol-sign:

Nope.....that wouldn't last with my 2 girls either. They have torn through some tough material. They love stuffed toys. They love ripping them apart until they get the plastic squeaker out. Everytime I buy them a new toy, I'm sweeping up stuffing a few hours later. Right now all they have to play with is lifeless bodies of toys without the stuffing, so I guess I'm going to have to go buy new ones. I just don't know if I want to spend that much, only to have them tear it up in a few hours time. It has to be some reeeallly tough material. They're merciless when they get hold a stuffed toy.

He hasn't killed his kong that can be stuffed with treats, but only because he doesn't use it unless there is a treat in it..........when the treat is gone he is done. He doesn't play with it. Any other type kong dies a painful death in this house :)

That is the main reason I bought him a Bad Cuz.........it squeaks and looked reasonably tough. He doesn't like it, doesn't play with it, therefore it is still in one piece.

That Wubba looked like something he would love to play with, but I wanted to know if it was tough.

Kahlua tears up every toy she gets. Really has Whiskey getting over protective of his toys. That one died in less then an hour. Think I am just going to give her rocks lol

If your concern is the pieces, you may be okay with the Wubba. As dead as it is, like Elegy said, the outer part is still intact. The ball and squeaker parts are flattened and broken inside, but the fabric isn't torn.

This was one of the originals - I have no idea if the quality has changed since Kong bought them.

Note for Tosca.........When you can no longer take any more of this twisted woman, PM Kevin!
Yet another reason why Tosca is cost effective. She has only obliterated two toys since the day I got her. One of them she swears was destroyed by a Duckie Serial Killer while Tosca slept. She's damaged a few others, but never actually put them out of commission. She has great reverence for squeaky toys. Oh she might remove a few decorations, but she never violates a squeeker. Ok just once, but that was an accident. No sir, Tosca does not kill her toys. She just eats couches. But that's another story.

This is good to know.........perhaps we will give it a shot and see what happens.

Thanks BB :)

lol, Daisy has one of those! I didn't know that was what it was called. It's sitting right here by the desk- wow, it says wubba on it! I never noticed.

She likes it too, grabs the loose ends and swings it all around, smacking herself in the head and sides with the kong part.

LMAO Dan!! Did YOU buy it or was it a gift?? LOL

Swinging it around & the squeaker is the reason Kevin thought Orson would enjoy it, those are two of his favorite ways to play. If you can tug with them like the package says...........that will make it the perfect toy for Orson. I just want it to last at least a month!

How long has daisy had hers?

My wife bought it for her, maybe 2 months ago. She's got so many toys that it's still fully intact, even though she does play with it. She's funny, because she'll play with whatever toy is nearby, not really seeking out one particular toy. My office here has toys all over the floor, everything from balls to stuffed animals. She'll bring them in here from the family room, then eventually they will all make their way back to the family room.

Her favorites are the jolly ball with the rope, she swings this around so violently you think she'll knock herself out, and she and Gunnar play tug with it, the regular jolly ball, one of those green balls with the feet (forget the name). Gunnar killed the squeaker on that one thankfully, but it's still a favorite. An old marrow bone gets a lot of attention, Gunnar's basketball, and probably Gunnar is her favorite toy, lol. I took a few new toys out of the box yesterday, a ball that makes almost like a baby sound and a little tire with a rope that Gunnar never cared for.
