Meet Limo, a newcomer to rescue. Very sweet older gentleman. He was dumped by his owners at a rural shelter to die. He is the longest dog I've ever seen, I guess that's why he was named "Limo" upon entering our rescue. What else do you think could be in him?

Cute face.

Side.

Butt shot. I was trying to get a picture of the side of his body, but he kept moving.

You never stop playing the "breed guessing game" in rescue!;)

Shepherd...

I've never seen a basset or lab with those facial points. While weak in shepherd lines, for whatever reason they seem to be easily passed on. Or... another breed with tan points.

Basset x Lab or lab mix. Could even be a heanz57--but something in there is definitely a basset, and it's his eyes and head structure that are saying lab to me.

Psyfalcon, Labradors do come in those colors. It's not common, certainly, but isn't unheard of. Link:

I'm going to firmly go with Basset X Lab(mix)

I see either dobie or shephard. This doesn't look like a basset/lab mix to me...the markings are too different. "Bassadors" (ack!!!) are becoming fairly common, unfortunately, and this dog doesn't look like this type of mix.

I know it sounds weird but to me he looks like a Bassett/Rott. His butt looks rotty to me and his markings as well. His length, legs, head are all obviously basset but I think being part rott could do the shorter ears (his are alot shorter than a bassett), the thick body, his markings and even his fur length whch looks alot like rott fur. I think if he were shepherd he would have ears that stand up, a longer, skinnier snout and thicker coat since they seem to pass that on. Do you have any "head-on" shots of him so we could see the width of his head?

One of my friends had a dog that looked exactly like him, only her points were more red instead of tan. Her dad was a verified beagle/shepherd mix and her mom a purebred basset hound.
