So....

I have to pick a registered name for a BC. He is a male tri.

I have decided I really like the name Spy, so it has to include that in it.

The prefix is Weskeys.

Help? LOL

Hmm, I'm not sure what character limits CBCA has.

I kinda like Weskeys For Your Eyes Only, call name Spy. But it's too long, I think.

Your call name Spy doesn't have to be in the registered name . Example : Weskeys James Bond ..Weskeys Sherlock Homes . Have fun with the breed and novels . My Bubba was Hawthorn Hill's Cream'N Crimson .

Good suggestions everyone :).

The association says the name has to be 15 characters or less. I have a question though.

So the prefix is Weskeys. Which means the name has to go...

"Weskey's... Yada yada yada" LOL

Now, does the prefix count as 'characters'? Because that means the name has to be a lot shorter....

I really like "Weskey's Double O Seven", but if 'Weskey's' is included, then it will be too long :(.

Weskey's Double O Seven is really cute. If the limit is 15 characters though, I'm sure that includes the kennel name.

Weskey's I Spy would be my second pick. :)

I'm having that issue with my pup in the making. the kennel name is really long. 13 letters including a space.. so I had to cut down the name I wanted too.

You have to use a kennel name? I am trying to figure out a registered name for Maya as well...

her mother's registered name is "Venus De Watcher" and I cant remember her dad's name at the moment and I dont want to get up and get the papers... so would "Venus de Maya" be what I would want to chose?

dont I need the breeder's permission for that though?

Your breeder should have already talked to you about that, if not, s/he would be the one to ask. Every good breeder I know wants their kennel prefix in the reg. name - whereas BYBs/puppymills/stores generally don't care.

Can't help with the name (I saw the pictures, he's cute!), they normally come to me at two in the morning when I've spent weeks trying to figure one out and only have a day to get the papers in :lol-sign:

a good friend of mine who is a border collie breeder, her kennel name is Eye Spy Border Collies.

I do like weskey's double o seven (I don't think you can use numbers and yes the prefix/kennel name IS included in the amount of letters you use.

I also like Weskey's Double Agent

Good luck with your new puppy!
