gah.. the food I am feeding isnt on either one of those sites! Does that mean it is bad?
this is what I am feeding

It isn't great. There are much better options. But it is far better than Science Diet and a lot of other foods.

Since it is sold exclusively by vets I'm sure it is really expensive, too!

well an 18 pound bag was 20 dollars...

See the only food sold around here are like Iams, Purina, Eukanuba, Ol' Roy, and Pedigree.... I think we can get Science Diet... but nothing that great. As we only have a Wal-Mart and then the vets office... we do have like a farming type store but I have never been in it... Maybe tomorrow I will go there and see what they have...

The thing with these dog food review sites is, well you cant just go by what they say, like everything that is related to dog foods, its biased in some way.
The real trick is to understand the ingredients , research them individually and go from there, by all means these sites are a good start, but dont just stop there.

That's why Mordy's site, www.dogfoodproject.com is so valuable. It teaches you how to read the ingredients, what to look for, and what to look out for so you can make your own INFORMED decisions.

sigh, my point precisely...
but you cant just believe everything off of one site is what im saying.
Sure we all avoid corn like the plague... but really what is it most likely used as in dog food? its an acceptable grain in once sence but it depends on what it's purpose in the food is.
I still would recommend that one steers clear of it, but its very important to educate yourself as much as possible. that was all i was saying.
