Well, she is finally a little over a year old, and she has pretty much stopped growing (except a little filling out here and there) would it be ok to go ahead and switch her over to it......or wait until she is 18 months ??

She should be fine on EVO then. It's just dogs over 50 lbs at maturity that should wait.

I think the key is not over-feeding and allowing your dog to take in too many calories while still young.

Most dogs are done growing at a year, especially a medium sized 50 pounder.

Good to know, SP... I was always under the impression that any dog should wait until 18 months. But, (sorry, I'm not really trying to hijack, Jess :p) shouldn't Evo (or comparable foods) be fed to highly active dogs? Or is it okay for moderately active dogs, too? (keeping my options open! :D)

Innova EVO can be fed to dogs with any activity level. I fed it to my pugs that sleep 18 hours a day, lol! It's just really important that you don't feed as much as you would a regular food. For example, my pugs ate about 1 cup a day on a regular type food, but on EVO they only eat a strict 1/2 cup a day or they really put on the chub!

I had great results with EVO. Their skin and coat quality was incredible on it. I always feed it to my puppies when I get them...
