Oh, that's a shame. I'm crossing my fingers too. What a horrible disease! Glad your Mom's pup is doing better. Thinking of you.

Looks like he isn't doing any better. We are holding out the rest of the day and will most likely be put to sleep this evening :( :( :(

When was he diagnosed? if it's only been three days I think it's too soon to give up. Are they force feeding him? If so, is he keeping the food down at all?

When Buddy had parvo he was in the hospital for a week and it wasn't until the fifth day that he had made any sort of progress and it was a HUGE step.

I hope the best for you and your pup... what does your vet say? Has he/she given a percentage of chance?

I'm gonna go talk to the Big Guy....

Buddy if his organs are shutting down, then it will be a kindness. I have seen parvo go both ways. I am so sorry for your sorrows as i know this all to well. May he cross the rainbow bridge and be welcomed by our dearest Chazhounds that have gone before.

I know, Smkie... I fully understand what parvo entails.. the good and the bad.... but if the poor pup was only diagnosed two days ago...there is still a fighting chance...

*shrugs*

Buddy fought for five days before we felt he was going to survive...

The problem is, he is only 2 pounds so they have a less of a chance when they are smaller dogs. He has is pretty bad and there is no improvement, he is just getting worse. MY vet see's parvo everyday and I really believe him when he says that the "humane" thing to do is to put him down. But we will wait the rest of the day. Trust me I want to keep fighting, but I also don't want to drag it out and make him suffer more. It's a hard decision

No doubt, Deb.

It's a painful and heartbreaking process to go through.

I hope the best for you and your pup. :( God Speed.
