Yes and no... You have to remember England is an Island, so you need a ferry or plane to get to anywhere!!
True - some people have never left here.

And you can tell!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

(oops - will get hit - thankgod there aren't many brits on here ;) )

Seriously though - you can tell well someone is well travelled... they're usual more... open..

I am one of those 92% that do not own one...I don't have the money to travel around my own country, never mind outside out of it. I'd love to though...who wants to put me up when I go to the UK/Europe? :D
Me too?!

lol. I want to travel all over the states and I would love to visit Europe and Australia. But we don't get to go on very many vacations or very far when we do. So nope, no passport for me, but hopefully someday! I have only ever flown somewhere once.

I have one and I love to travel abroad- I've been to Australia, New Zealand, Canada, England, Germany, the Czech Republic, Italy and France.

I would REALLY love to do Japan (hmmm wonder why?? :D), and Thailand next, but who knows.

At the same time, I realize I have been VERY lucky to have parents with the means to send me all over the world (because Lord knows I certainly don't!!) A lot of people aren't so fortunate, and I DO think it's a lot harder for people in the US to get to other countries than it would be if you lived in Europe. A couple hours train ride can get you from London to Paris! That's pretty freaking awesome.

No I don't. I wish I did. Money is the problem now. Before it was a stubborn dad who wanted to p!ss my mom off by not cooperating. I have dreams of traveling and I want to go visit family I have in England, Switzerland, just all over, and I'd love to to Egypt, and lots of places. When I have the money to go I will make sure to get to traveling.

I have one!!!!

I love to travel and I agree it is is important for everyone to travel and see things.

It is especially important to see places where people live with very little.
If you travel around many of the Islands in the Carribean you see how little some people have and it definitly makes you appreciate how wonderful your country is (whichever one it is you live in).

Some good friends of mine are from an island in the Pacific called Chuk. I'd love to tag along with them when they go home sometime. It's a tiny little place - five miles across. No industry. No wealth. A little small farming, fishing . . .

I highly recommend living and working in Japan. It's probably the best experience of my life. If you need any help or have questions about it let me know. I also know several websites with job listings :)

Some of my wrestler friends have spent time in Japan on tours. They all enjoyed it, but some of the bigger guys had a difficult time there. I had to laugh at one of them talking about not having room in the tiny little hotel cubicle to dress. He had to open the door and stand in the hallway to get dressed. Much to the amusement of some of the women, lol!

lol they are pretty tiny although I could still do yoga in mine every morning. It's funny how different it is there. They shower right in the middle of the bathroom and have a drain near the toilet and then soak in the tub once they are clean. It's actually really nice. showering over the toilet is weird though. And for breakfast was a mix between japanese, chinese and 'western' food. So soup, fish, noodles and fried potato wedges buffet style lol It was a strange hotel. Things were much better after I got my own place.

lol That is big. I know my big russian friend was always hitting his head. He was tall and wide and had to duck every time he entered a room. And he broke his bed at the house we stayed in lol. And that was just from sleeping in it!

Nope no passport, I'd love to visit other countries but I'm too afraid to get on a plane. When my sister lived in Arizona I refused to fly down and visit her, even though I really missed her. :p

Maybe someday. ;)

I have a passport, initially it was for my overseas travel (London, England) last year, but now they are talking that Canadians need to have a passport to travel to the US. I live about 45 minutes from the Houlton, ME border, and go across regularly to get milk, visit friends, and have opened a PO box there to get things shipped from companies that don't ship to Canada..... VERY inconvenient having to have it to go to the US when US citizens don't need to have a passport to get into Canada??

I'm sure it won't be long before US citizens need a passport to come to Canada. Are you sure they don't already? Canada and the US have a very Do Unto Another ... relationship.
