I was just wandering if you know what breed your next dog would be? :D

And what is the dog going to be for.....Family Pet....Show/Pet Dog....Working/Pet Dog....ect.

I think my next dog is going to be a Golden Retriever!!

And I'd REALLY like to show/handle this Golden....so I think it will be a show/pet Golden! :D

In the distant future, when I have much more time on my hands... which will probably be never, lol.... I would like a poodle that I could get into agility competitions with.

I love all dogs... but I cant ever imagine not having a poodle (or 2) in my home.

Ohhh and since I have trained the toy Poodle, Charlie, I have fallen in LOVE with the breed!!!

That would be another dog I would want! But just as a Family Pet! A dog that goes EVERY where with me! :D

There are a lot of wonderful breeds out there but I can't ever see any other breed for me besides the American Staffordshire Terrier.

Grammy will be happy to hear that, Liz ~

omg...

I would really really like a cocker that I can handle in shows... *sigh* {dream on I'm guessing} Since that's just about the only thing Maddie can't do :p lol I have been eyeballing a couple of breeders, though realistically now is not the time to get another dog. But... I can dream...

I honestly have no idea what breed my next dog will be. Right now I have 4 in mind - another Border Collie, a Whippet, a Fila or a Doberman. I would want to show the Dobe, Whippet or Fila in conformation, but the BC would be a sheepdog trial/sport dog,. I'd try to compete in obedience and agility with the Dobe and Whippet, too (longshot with the Whippet, but I've seen people with Whips in obedience) It'll probably be at least a couple years before I can get a Fila, possibly the same situation with the Doberman (though I've gotten my parents to soften a little on them)

I may not wind up with any of those for the next dog. A shelter dog is just as likely, y'know?

there are a number of breeds i'm interested in right now. it's doubtful that i'd buy a pup from a breeder, so it'll depend on what shows up in the shelter or in a rescue at the right time.

current short list: doberman, border collie, standard poodle, shar pei, (another) pit bull

if the akc ever decided to open their performance sports up to mixed breeds, i'd go in for a grade a all-american mutt.

I want a harliquin Great Dane.Used to own a black Dane before and they are beautiful. That will be a while down the track yet.My B/f wants a Boxer. They would only be for pets, though if I aquired a good Dane or Boxer would be nice to get involved in showing.:)

- Great Dane
- Doberman
- Bull Mastiff
- Boxer

In that order. I am actually really really strongly considering a rescue dane when my Sarah crosses Rainbow Bridge, but I hope that won't be for quite some time. :)

Whoops, and just wanted to say that I'd like to do confo with any/all of them, and then agility. :) Can you imagine a mastiff doing agility!
