I'm back from my trip to Chicago to visit my boyfriend and man was it tons of fun!!!! In 11 days I became Serbian, met some people I know off of forums, and saw a whole bunch of dogs!!! LOL Here are the promised pics. Well these are only some of the pics, you can see the rest here http://s126.photobucket.com/albums/p111/buldog1/

I met up with a friend of mine at a dogpark so this is me with her two dogs Life and teak

The first weekend me and my boyfriend went to our friend's place where there were some other friends of ours too. I''m head over heels for thier dogs!!!!!!!

This is Pasha's sister Dasha another jaw-dropper of a dog!

Smile for the camera Xena!

Actually there was a reason Xena was cuddling with me on the couch, this little terror wouldn''t leave her alone! Mona''s great with people but she''s a hunting dog through and through and anything not bi-ped is fair game to her (she''s a Pat-Staff - Patterdale Terrier/Staffordshire Bull Terrier)

Check out her TEETH! Coons stand no chance against this cutie

She really is a love, HONEST!

I met up with another friend of mine who breeds American Bulldogs, this is me with Sally and her latest addition, Rain

My boyfriend's friend happened to have a pitbull litter so of course I had to visit hehe This one's my favourite, she is the run of the litter

The runt and one of her brothers

If I had to choose a pup to take home though this one (closest to the camera) is the one I would choose because to me he had the best temperment, no back down in him at all no matter what we put in the pen!

And of course my boyfriend's American Bulldogs can''t be left out!

Tank (whom I have adequately nicknamed wiggle-bum)

His mom Marena

Yay Bulldogs!

There were other dogs I met up with but didn''t get a picture of like Tank''s sister Cocoa, Tank''s sire Chopper, another pitty named Petey, the puppies' dam named Jersey and others.

During a walk with the Tank and Marena we also encountered a wild coyote standing only 20ft away from us which was really cool!!!!! Never knew there were coyotes in the suburbs of Chicago!!!!

Opps sorry that is a very small male ..Caucasian males as per standard have to have marked difference in sizes for sexes, well filled muzzle and stop with back skull. Which is why I made wrong assumption. I will post some pics of breeding quality Caucasians under dog breed to showcase the standard.

I dont understand why the male needs a muzzle? Did chicago pass a law?
Does he do police work?

Actually this particular male isn''t done growing yet, he is still a puppy ;) But in any case, though COs CAN get very big and still be within standard a good dog person knows that bigger doesn''t always mean better. This guy already stands at around 32" if I remember correctly...I wouldn''t call that small

And anybody with a TRUE livestock guarding dog knows how sharp they can be and anybody who has ever walked the streets of any urban area knows there can be some real dicks out there who like to taunt dogs just to get them going.

I dont so i have TRUE livestock dogs that WORK outside with sheep and protection worked WITHOUT muzzle.

And Ive taken the same dog down the Brooklyn 86street where Saturday nite fever was filmed under the L and in NYC in a appearance on TV shows in Lower manhatten.

I have working livestock Central Asians that pass
CGC TDI TT work in schools kill Coyotes and can be shown hands on and taken to any city street.

Maybe you comments are for Caucasian Ovcharka I dont own them or breed them. However my little judging showing and limited owner of them they too were CONTROLABLE without a muzzle..

You said "anyone with a TRUE livestock guarding dog" .
I have Kangals -Kuvasz that are taken from the sheep to be shown hands on_ no muzzle . Thus the confusion _You do not say Caucasians.

Plus that dog lives in a HOUSE in the City and is not a known sharp working line. Which means any breeder that determined this CO to be "sharp".
Would never sell to a city -thus the confusion here.
I have had ONE real sharp CAS that showed too much "fear" to humans and dogs at age 7 wks was sent to the country to a Prof PP trainer that got him stable without a muzzle..

So i dont get it but if you are clarifying that Caucasians are sharper than Central Asian _ yes they are.

You see im againest muzzles as training tool- I think of it as a lazy way to control dogs. What happens when the muzzle is off ?
Their are exceptions of course police dogs dogs with bite histories.

I guess we must agree to disagree then. Yes some people use muzzles as a lazy way out but sometimes it is in the best interest for the dog and those around him to have a muzzle esoecially during the training process, wouldn''t you agree? Which is better? Risking something going bad and your dog have to be put down OR training with a muzzle on until the dog is reliable and then taking it off?I''ve seen COs that dont fire up over anything and can be taken anywhere and asked to be put through anything, but in turn those were very poorly bred Cos and very bad examples of their breed.

CAOgirl are you asking me? If so, in person I have only been around Dasha and Pasha, but I am in close contact with a variety of Co and CAO breeders, enthusiasts and owners and have been researching them thoroughly so I can hopefully eventually possibly own one if the situation suits.

I understand, I am fine with pictures and thought they were fun to look at. But, educating the public with misinformation about the breed is when i posted. I had a problem with the below statement. First off I was unaware that Dasha and Pasha were true livestock dogs especially in urban chicago...what flock are they with? what makes them TRUE?... Were the parents guarding flocks?

And anybody with a TRUE livestock guarding dog knows how sharp they can be and anybody who has ever walked the streets of any urban area knows there can be some real dicks out there who like to taunt dogs just to get them going
