Grettings animal lovers!

First off, I'm a new member just wanting to say hello. :)

Secondly, I wanted to get some honest feedback on a concept site I just created for pets called CritterFriends.com. It's basically a social community much like MySpace, but geared for pets and their owners. So I thought who better to ask for opinions than you all. Any feedback you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

hmmm....it sounds very similar to Dogster.com

What exactly would you be offering on this site?

I think its an interesting idea..especially if pet people want to meet other pet people...

I think it needs some work though..although the concept is pretty cool..

First of all, I would suggest putting down how many members are there...kinda like what you would see on dogster...
Then, allow viewers/visitors to view the members and their profiles...I would look at www.hi5.com for more info...I love their website, the layout, etc...it would be nice to see some of their features on your site...

I just needs more personalization..more options...so far, all I'm seeing is the signup menu..nothing else..no info on members, on their pets...no pictures, etc...

So yeah, there's my two cents :)

One of my friends has a page for her dog on MySpace.. lol
Haha there are lots of Myspace pages for dogs, horses, cats, etc. that I have seen.

I pretty much agree with Pitbulliest. I like the site, and it's a very cute idea but you should give it more. . .pizazz. . .and more options. :)

Great feedback

Excellent, thank you for all the feedback. I will definitely continue to improve the site, it's been a lot of fun to develop. By all means, keep the suggestions coming. :)

Excellent, glad it's sparking some interest, I look forward to seeing you on there. I did make some changes based on your suggestions. I added a count of all critters, owners, and vendors to the home page (even though the counts are pretty pathetic right now, but tis the life of a new website). :) I'm also enhancing the layout and graphics.

I joined your site. I really like it so far. But.......... I am having troubles uploading my dogs pictures in the "critter" section. There is definately something wrong. I CAN upload pictures in my profile of me.......but it will not let me upload for each individual pet. They are under the size limit and either jpg or gif file type. It keeps saying I must use the right file type and I am. But it is not working right.
I will try again later. :)

Yes, you were both right, there was an uploading issue on my end. I got it resolved and the critter image upload is working again, thanks for letting me know. Sorry for the trouble, I'm still finding bugs here and there. If you come across any more issues, please let me know. There's always a few things that escape the developers. :)
