Hmmm - everyone is talking about the Bengals, without actually having lived with one
They do make good housecats. They shouldn't be vicious wild cats - that is the point of crossing them with (insert domestic cat here).
Shan is as good a cat as any. He is just quirky. He is very vocal - you KNOW when it is feeding time. He isn't scared of anything - you can't "shoo" him - ie. if he jumps up and you are preparing food, you have to physically remove him, just saying, "shoo" etc doesn't work
He is an active cat,
I wouldn't want to keep one in a small area...!!! They are not suitable for flats/small houses.
He WAS an indoor cat, and hated it. Would sit and stare outside, and try and get out at every opportunity. When I brought my own cat back here (when I moved), they dynamics in the "cat" house changed considerably, and keeping three cats indoors, 2 of whom would gang up on my one (usually all her fault), we began letting shan out also to relieve the tension - which it has done. They are kept in over night, in seperate rooms, Shan lives quite happily with our Siamese, and actually doesn't mind MY cat (she HATES them). So he's a pretty sociable boy!!! Unless he is outdoors - then if another cats comes by, all hell breaks loose.
Basically, he is a cat like any other, just a bit more ballsy, bit more intelligent.
As long as you go to someone reputable who socialises the kittens well - you're fine
Not sure what someone meant by Bengals "marking" all the time - do you mean urine?! He has NEVER EVER done this.... In fact, we had more of a problem with our siamese..
