This is another email I received...... I think they are in PA.

Hi All!!

We at Pets Come First are always finding new ways to raise money to help with the medical needs of the animals that come into the PSPCA Centre Hall shelter. This Saturday, September 23, we are having a bake sale from 9 am till 1 pm and an Italian Charm Show from 11 am to 1 pm at the Milesburg Community Center beside the Omega Bank and across from the Uni-Mart. We welcome any bake sale items. Please contact Jen Spence at 355-****.

We also accept donations on the Pets Come First website by way of Paypal. Below are two dogs that we have pulled from the shelter and are now receiving veterinary care. They are being kenneled at Royal Pet Resort and we are looking for foster homes for them.

First, is Cheyanne, a wonderfully sweet beagle type mix with the lovely blue eyes. She is around 5 years old and just lights up when she is around children. The problem is she is terribly overweight. Her idea weight would be 50 pounds, but she weighs 97!! Needless to say, she has a hard time getting around. She has been checked for thyroid which was somewhat low, but not terribly and placed on medication. She needs someone to help her get back her girlish figure which means a better diet, helping her with light exercise and lots of hugs and kisses.

Next is Binker, a 3 year old female bloodhound. Binker was taken to the vet where she tested positive for heartworm. Her teeth are also terrible and she has a growth on her jaw besides that she needs spayed. PCF has made arrangements to have her treated and she is also at Royal Pet Resort waiting for a foster or forever home.

Pets Come First is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of the animals at the PSPCA Centre Hall shelter. Your support is very much needed and appreciated. Please visit us at www.petscomefirst.com.

I am posting these in hopes that someone interested in helping a dog in need will see it........
That poor obese dog, I bet she can't even walk.....
and I have a soft spot for bloodhounds.....

I would think they would like all the broadcast they can get....
I get emails with dogs needing help every couple days from them...
They seem to really be trying, although I am not directly involved...
My heart does yearn to at least volunteer to foster Binker though.... but I am not sure I would be capable with 3 kids, and 3 dogs already. :(
One day I know I will be able to help with fostering animals in need......................

This is from the same person that made me aware of Tammy Grimes......

Some people equate food with love. They don't realize the harm they are doing to their dog. Once I saw this dog that was so fat she was completely round. You could have rolled him down the sidewalk! :yikes:

I wish good luck to those poor pups!

Aww, that poor dog! That is one of the most overweight dogs I've seen. . .outside of world record books!
It breaks my heart I can't take them. :( I so wish I could bring them home with me to a warm loving place outside if a chainlink kennel. . .and work some weight off of that dog!

I've seen dogs that obese in person, it's very sad. What a sweet girl she looks like, too.

I'll be keeping both of them in my thoughts and cross-post if I think of someone to send it to.
