Better Call Saul anyone? Got to say, I really like it so far.
Hey Fran,
I have to say I am loving it!!!!!
Many people might dismiss it because it's, well, not Breaking Bad.
From the start, I've tried to think of the two as two separate animals altogether.
That being said, the first two episodes have been awesome.
Setting up the series with the "present day" revisit and leading back into the nitty gritty is sure to please returning fans.
Michael McKean's portrayal of Chuck, Saul's electromagnetically sensitive brother, is frustratingly well done. You can sense the tension and chemistry between McKean and Odenkirk. The returning characters have not disappointed and new additions like Nacho are sure to add value to the plot.
Personally, I didn't really like the twins. It might have been the characters themselves as I know they're SUPPOSED to be annoying but they were just a sore spot for me. All the better when you-know-who gives 'em the business though
Having broken the cable premiere viewership record with 4.4 million viewers in the 18–49 demographic, Better Call Saul is in a good position to build it's own momentum from here. Despite being on the heels of a program like The Walking Dead, BCS easily has the strength to not only survive but thrive.
I've always been a fan of the underdogs and side characters, so Saul is the perfect concoction for someone like me.
What does everyone else think of it so far? I'll be posting again after tomorrow's episode
Thanks,
