I watched X-Men First Class last night for the first time. It was okay.

World War Z will, I think, forever be the most disappointing movie I've ever seen. I LOVE the book and the book would make a great movie, but now they've used up the title and they didn't make a movie based on the book, so now I don't get one. :[

Redbox credits at work:

Got "Delivery Man" and "Monuments Men" this weekend. Both were enjoyable. Neither one is award winning. I'm not a huge Vince Vaughn fan (similar to how I feel about Denzel Washington - he plays the same **** character every time or he plays every character the exact same way) but I found his style endearing for this particular movie. You start pulling for him as it goes on.

Monuments Men had a bunch of star power and, while hollywood-ized, a decent "based on a true story" type film. If you're expecting a WWII action movie (ala Saving Private Ryan) you'll be disappointed. The war was more a character in the movie than it being a war movie.

I was equally disappointed by Monuments Men. It was fine enough, but I wouldn't see it again or recommend it to any one.

Not a movie, but we did go see Cameron Mackintosh’s Phantom of the Opera on Saturday. We're kind of the the warm up for their North American tour :) and it was awesome. The performance, the music, the energy, was great. I have to admit, besides live music, i never thought I'd be a fan. Like many things, I was wrong. I would put down the cash to go see it again any day.

I saw Neighbors last week.
After reading reviews, I expected it to be absolutely terrible.
But I did laugh quite a bit and enjoyed it.

Kinda funny how Seth Rogen is the "old man" living next door to James Franco's little brother

In preparation for later this week, we did a Transformers marathon here. All three movies on DVD. I'm not sure if the kids had more fun or if I did :D

Going to see the new one at the drive in on Wednesday night. It's a double feather with Edge of Tomorrow (which I've seen) but my wife and younger daughter have not.

Just watched The Art of The Steal. I really liked it. I think I have a thing for Jay Baruchel. But it's a good movie either way.

We went and saw Earth to Echo today. It was cute and enjoyable. Plus very predictable. The characters were likeable enough.

The "found footage" thing is played out, to me. This was especially bad because it seemed exaggerated - possibly because it was supposed to have been kids filming it with go-pro cameras and such. I got nauseous and had to leave at one point.

But, essentially, it was ET if ET was Bubo from the original Clash of the Titans.

I wanted to see Earth to Echo but the reviews all said it's a match up of several movies and you're better off watching the originals, lol. So I'm passing on that one.

Saw The Giver tonight. Loved it! I have a huge crush on Brenton Thwaites. There better be more movies :)

22 Jump Street. Funny, but wasn't really good.
Omg I love that movie! I've seen it like 30 times! Lol!

Just watched Winter's Tale. It was really sad! And good in a way but I thought the 2nd half was really rushed and didn't give you a chance to really care about what was happening. The beginning was great though and the story was really cool!

NEED FOR SPEED!!!! It was sad but I loved it!

We saw Sex Tape, which had some hilarious parts... Hercules was better than I expected (and also sad). 22 jump street was really funny.
