Sorry I haven't been around much lately, things have been a bit busy around here! I have a very exciting announcement to share - we welcomed five puppies into the world yesterday afternoon! They were born a couple days earlier than expected, blowing in with the first storm of the year. There are three boys and two girls, and all are at a good weight, active, and nursing well. Journey is doing fine too - whelping went very quickly and smoothly with no major problems.

Without further ado, presenting (from left-right): Simon (M), Random (F), Harper (F), Collins (M), and Schuster (M)!

The three dark puppies are actually saddles and will probably have about the same amount of tan as Journey as adults; the other two are sables and will lighten up considerably as they grow.

A few more pictures - they're not great since it was getting dark and I didn't want to disturb Journey too much. I'll try to take some individual shots when I go home again on Thursday.

Journey is being such a good momma - she has never had a litter before and didn't quite know what to make of the first two puppies, but she figured it out pretty quickly.

In case anyone missed it in the 2014 puppy thread, here are the dam, Journey, and sire, Galloway. Again, sorry for the very old picture of him - his breeder has promised to send me a more recent stacked shot!

I'll make sure to post more pictures and updates whenever I get a chance - I'm going to be pretty busy for the next couple months!

Ahhhh how exciting! So many pretty colors too!

I am desperately aesthetically attracted to these dogs, but I just feel like the GSDs would accidentally hurt them.

Would love to meet some one day!

So much love! Glad Journey is taking well to motherhood, she looks a little surprised but so sweet in that last picture :) The puppies are adorable, and they're going to grow up SO beautifully. And please post the recent picture of the sire if you get it!

Also, LOVE the naming theme! What a great idea.

Congratulations on the successful and healthy litter! I love they're all named after publishing houses, LOL.

I want a LHW sooo bad, this is killing me.

So happy you have puppies and that it sounds like it was an uneventful birthing, even if early.

I'll take Random please and thank you!

Thanks everyone! Pups and momma are doing fine - everyone is gaining weight and growing fast. They'll be tottering around in no time at all. I took some individual shots of all the guinea pigs last night:

Harper, who is going to look like a Journey clone when she grows up (though with better ears hopefully :D)

Collins, my arbitrary favorite right now

Random - I believe she weighs the most out of all of them at the moment

Simon - his dad has the same white patch on his muzzle

And Schuster, who was very upset at being removed from the milk bar

And a few more pictures:

Oh, they're a little sturdier than they look, as long as you avoid the overly fine-boned/narrow type that I see sometimes. They play pretty hard with each other and seem to hold their own well enough with larger dogs. And you are welcome to take Newton for a little while, haha! He's loud and obnoxious and pushy but a lot of fun to work with.

Oh my goodness! I love them. Love them, love them, love them. Please send one or two to me
Well, since you're not that terribly far away, I think you are a little obligated to come help socialize them :)
