Had his first training session! It's fun training a dog that's mine and not a herder! Have the concept of 'touch' down, he already knows sit really well, has NO clue about down and we started a perch and got as far as his front feet on it.

I took him and Traveler for a walk together, then let them loose together in the back yard. They *cough* Traveler *cough* are much less tense around eachother now.

Traveler even initiated play with him. Sadly, Traveler's way to initiate play is...well, "Charge at dogs as fast as I can, take a leap, land in front of them in a play bow and BARK" Because you know, that makes you all the friends in the world. But we're getting much more relaxed tail wags.

He looks so adorable! And I second/third the... how on earth did someone think he is a pit bull?!
I know, and it's such a stupid reason to have to loose your dog. To have to decide to loose your home or your puppy. Just wrong and I honestly felt like I was stealing their dog. It was hard.

Out of curiosity, how much bigger do you guys think he'll grow? I know that's hard to ask since he's a mix and I don't even know how much he weighs right now but I'm used to my smaller dogs that are full height and weight around 5 months almost.

I figure he's going to fill out some and he'll probably get taller? Right? 7 month old lab/dane mix.

OH! And name suggestions welcome!

He will likely get taller if the Dane is strong in him. Mine put on height even up til three though most height was done by around 18 months.

So glad you have him; he's adorable! I agree that he doesn't look like a pittie to me.

He's super cute and sounds awesome and perfect!

This is a funny one, Yarrow pretty much reached his full height and weight by about 10 months. He's such a big guy I thought he would grow for longer, but he just packed it all in before then.

And then Onyx, who's a little girl, I figured she must be done growing at around 6 or 7 months, but nope. She grew easily up to a year, she is still gaining weight in fact.

I expect he'll get quite a bit taller.
