Where's the Walking Dead thread?

This weeks episode IMO was very hard core for me. I knew it was the only option as she was dangerous and only going to further her decent into madness and probably cost them their lives.

I've read the comic, but I think the watered down substitutes in the show aren't enough. I'd rather they keep on going a different path, especially since the comic completely **** the bed about 10 issues ago if not more. What's going to happen is the group Daryl is with now are the hunters from the novel someone will get bitten and they will cannibalize them without realizing (I'm betting money on Bob) Glenn and Maggi reunite, and the main players defeat that group plus whatever zombies they toss in.

I definitely love what Carol has become, but every thing else.. meh and predictable.

I agree. The comic's path is... interesting. I dunno how I feel about it. I agree about your spoilers (which I edited out because the quote would have given it away LOL) and I hope we're right.

Do you think Terminus will have a lot of parellel to Alexandria in terms of characters and plot?

I'm always disappointed because I want SO badly to like the show, and they seem to be good at pulling out an amazing episode.. after about 10 boring, awful ones! I think if my spoilers are right it could be a nice last two episodes.

I hope it is, especially since they've teased us with Abraham. I found Alexandria kind of dry in the comics but every week I hold out hope for something exciting. I really need a life, lol.

Yeah this one was awesome I like Abraham ... In a weird way. I wish they would give Michonne's actress a chance to show off her character's bad assness instead of just having her do snarly face all the time :/

I'm pretty sure Terminus is not our Alexandria but rather a trap. I think they're kind of a mix of the hunters.

If any one wants to check out the New Zealand preview, it shows a little bit more of what is going to happen next week. There is a small scene from it that dares me to dream of a Gabriel appearance? Probably wishful thinking, but I always liked that character. I also want to go out on a limb and say Maggie might be toast.

I know that "piece of fecal matter" the leader of the hunters mentioned when they stayed at that house was rick, was it not? It will be interesting what will happen when they all converge on Terminus and what Daryl will do once he reunited with his original group. Will he side with his new "friends" or close ranks with his old group?

I agree with you. I originally mused that Daryl's new group is the Hunters, but now I think that Terminus is the show's variation of the Hunters. Seems a perfect trap, not to mention cultish.

Kirkman did an AMA on Reddit and we got the usual "there will be a major character death" but he also mentioned in our speculations to remember no character is safe no matter how popular. Maggie making Glenn burn that photo just made my spidey sense tingle she could be a goner.

I still have no idea what happened to Beth. I've seen a lot of speculation that she's what is on the grill, but I also hope she got scooped up by someone who thought they were saving her from the hoard. LIKE GABRIEL.

Eww imagine if that were true?! But in shows like these, who knows? my intuition tells me that they wouldn't do something that Texas Chainsaw-esque on basic cable. But stranger things have happened.

I want so bad for Terminus to be a little safe haven for them, but IME with these things there is always something off about "too good to be true" places like this, there is always a reason why its not a good idea to stay. because it wouldn't be dramatic if it wasn't?

It makes me wonder if this is where they are going to write in Carl losing his eye? maybe they are going to have a little showdown btw the hunters and Rick's group? will the group Glen an Maggie are with join and help them?

There was a lot of hype about it being action packed. A shocker. Major character deaths. I was disappointed, honestly. Not what I was expecting. I still enjoyed it, but it just wasn't what I expected.

Rick definitely could have handled the situation differently. He reacted impulsively instead of taking a minute to think things through.

Where the heck is Beth? Who took her?

I liked it all right. Lots of good comic stuff mixed in. Really needed to just go with the FCC fine and used the f-bomb at the end because they made that line/moment cringe worthy.

Pretty dumb they would learn nothing from Woodbury. We don't trust people, let's go to this random place with strangers!

As I've said, I'm not a diehard fan and I can be kind of hard on TV shows .

The episode felt like just another episode, not a season finale. Kinda predictable and not all that exciting. Shrug. I didn't really get the 'candle' room though, no idea what that was all about, or what they plan to do with the group. Sacrifices??

I've been kind of phasing out of TWD, wasn't much into it this season. I thought the finale kept my attention, but the flashbacks were kind of pointless and annoying. I felt like it wasted prime time that could've been used towards the current storyline more. I hope season 5 is better. 4 was definitely not a favorite of mine. I honestly started becoming uninterested with the whole Governor storyline. But I still watch LOL

Ok, I have heard that the shows terminus = the books Alexandria, if this is true and it plays out like it does in the book, what will happen?

I really don't think that it is. It seems an invention for the show. My theory (and this isn't spoilers in any direction, just a theory) is that they are a group of cannibals in a cult. It would explain the sacrificial-style room with names everywhere and the writing on the wall, the fenced area with human remains inside, and the people screaming for help as they were fleeing the gunshots.

So there was a sanctuary in the comic (Alexandria) and cannibals (who took out Dale) but neither are in the show and neither seem related to Terminus.

All my opinions of course The show ended on a hell of a cliffhanger with a lot of unanswered questions. Can't wait for the next season, looks like things are picking up again.

This is me! I think what I really can't stand is the formatting. It's a bunch of boring, shitty episodes then an exciting one at the end. This one fell through on being truly exciting, but it was better than a lot of stuff so far. They also want Eli Roth to play Negan, so even that possibility sucks me back in.

It's nothing like Alexandria. The early on predictions would be that it WOULD be Alexandria, but now it echos The Hunters storyline. At least, merely in the aspect of cannibalism.
