Lark went in with Hawkeye and I to a multi team SAR gathering to test new dogs and retest old dogs in obedience, acceptance of agility obstacles, and behavior towards strange humans and strange dogs.

Lark passed almost everything with flying colors tho she needs a little work on the acceptance of agility obstacles.
She was going thru tunnels and over jumps by the end but still needed to be lured on the teeter and dog walk and wasn't enjoying those two things.
She didn't freak out over either one but simply avoided them because she didn't like them, however her willingness to try with lured treats and a close guiding hand is a good step in the right direction. A second day with those obstacles should bring more acceptance.

Hawkeye of course is mr confidence in all new situations and they had a wobble board there which Hawk had never seen one before and he just jumped on and with great enthusiasm turned around on it with it wobbling like crazy under his feet and sat in front of me on it waiting for his treat.

Overall my team leader really liked Lark and she will start with HRD training at the next K9-ERT training day next month.

That is awesome! I wish there was a SAR group closer to me (and that I had more time for dog stuff)

Nice! Sounds like Lark is well on her way, then!!

I so wish I had time for SAR. We have one boy at work who I just LOVE and want to be mine forever and ever. He's an awesome search dog - article and people hides. But alas, I have no time to join a task force and my weekends are being taken over by agility. You have to keep us updated on Lark's training :D

A SAR Finkie would be a thing to see!
Bwahaha yes it would! I already have people confused at my agility Finkie. I can't imagine he confusion one doing SAR would bring :p

But I just don't have the time to put in, sadly. I will just continue to train them at work.
