LOOK HOW CUTE THIS IS!

http://www.trulia.com/rental/3140371286-226-1-2-E-5th-Cottage-Hutchinson-KS-67501#photo-1

It's a studio house! IT HAS A MURPHY BED! It's a bit too small for what I actually want if I can move, but IT'S ADORABLE!

Also, it's $295/month. It has dawned on me that most people who have been whining about me settling for $25,000/year don't realize how cheap rent is around here.

My goal is to find something for $640 or less, if this all pans out.

want to rent out the 2nd floor of my barn? I'll rent it to you if you also train Hudson. You just have to contend with the bats.
Sure thing! I'll just have to rent a helicopter or private jet to get us there quick when I want to train. :p

I looked briefly this afternoon for a building to buy or lease should I completely lose my mind and decide to quit my job for the world of owning a dog sport facility, and there's really nothing here that's big enough for what I would want for that purpose. I think I'd need to get some land and build.

There's an indoor soccer place here, but I can't find anything about renting their building for more than just by the hour. I've been to trials that are at rented-out indoor soccer places so I know it happens...
Flooring is a major consideration for any kind of agility work and limits what I could rent. If the weather was guaranteed to be nice, I could potentially rent space at one of our local parks, but if the weather is bad there's nowhere to go.
Do it!

Obviously we have the same idea/aspiration and need to partner in this or something. I'm crossing my fingers tomorrow will surprise me and will be do-able (and, I'm looking at it with a potential partner or two), I don't want to talk too much about it and jinx it. Thinking about the logistics of actually opening a small business is a little overwhelming.

1. Why is frozen chopped broccoli 90% stalk and 10% floret.

2. Newman's Own Sockarooni sauce is the best ever.

I don't have the answer, but I too would like to know WHY. (This is also why I buy specifically baby broccoli florets. Even if I have to pay more for the same amount of broccoli.)

My friend looked into doing the same thing (renting the soccer place that gets rented for agility trials and hosting seminars there), but the rental was so high that, along with the cost of the trainer, it was going to make the seminars far too expensive to draw people in.

Have you looked for riding arenas? I am renting an indoor with three friends this winter (we use it a few hours one night a week). They are great about us storing all our equipment in a corner. Horse barns are usually really strapped for cash; if you can find one that is willing to tell its boarders "Hey, the arena is closed at this time", you can get them for a great deal.

Yessssss. I dreamed I was pregnant and everytime I saw another person they came after me and tried to stab me with a knife. Bizarre.
Mine was that I was dating someone I'd rather stab myself in the face than do anything with. We were going to a car show of a brand I despise and sleeping in tents. I woke up while we were kissing because I was so horrified.

Then I also dreamed that I got a cat.

And totaled my TTRS and went to the Audi dealership to pay cash for another.

What the eff!?!?

I wish I had the money to open a dogsports place. Alas I don't even have the money to buy a house yet. Sadface.

I sometimes feel like my life is very stagnant right now. I guess it's not BAD per say but I want to be able to do more. But that means $$$ and right now I'm trying to save. And that sucks... Just rambling right now. But I don't want to move because it's been 2 almost 3 years here and I'm finally getting good groups of friends to hang out with and all that. Social life is happening. Money isn't happening as much. If only I didn't have this constant drain known as agility with two dogs. And now looking at nosework trials ($85 a run!) Oy... I know it's my own darn fault. But I want to do all the dog things. :(

Saving money is just far too much a challenge for me! I'm slowly getting my cash saved for a new camera ... but buying taxidermy and wet specimen critters is my downfall. I'm a bit addicted. :p
