My whole family is snowed in with this blizzard atm.....makes it very hard to stay on track with my routine broken!

Going to at least get some bike time today.

I will also make a goal of 40 with you laurelin. March 2014 will mark 3 years since i quit smoking and i've packed on 40 lbs to date. If I make the 40, I'll set a new goal but for now that sounds good.
Awesome! We can be weight loss buddies. :D.

I guess my first step is to get a scale that works so I know how much I weigh.

I would like to run a 10k this year. I toyed around with the idea last summer but then kind of stopped running, but I intend to start up again once it's not so cold out (I hate running in the cold, it hurts my lungs, and I don't have a treadmill).

I wouldn't mind just generally building muscle and losing fat, maybe dropping a couple of pounds. But mostly getting in better shape!

Just got done with:
30x leg raises each side
20x inner thigh pulses each side
20x crunches
2x 20 second planks
30x jumping jacks

Lesson learned, jumping jacks hurt without a bra. D'oh.

Just got done with:
35x leg raises each side
5x knee push-ups
25x inner thigh pulses each side
25x crunches
2x 25 second planks
10 minutes of yoga

I haven't really done yoga before, but I tried five or six new poses. Feels awesome! Tomorrow I'm going to make Rick help me on my squatting form.

Jeeze guys, am I the only one into it this year? I feel all alone!

Yesterday I did this in the pouring rain:

Took it nice and easy today:
30x leg raises each side
30x inner thigh pulses each side
15x crunches
3x 25 second planks
Plus a little squat practice. I'm able to go down reasonably far, but I always feel like I'm about to fall, which scares me. Working on it.

And Rick just said my legs are looking nicer. Booyeah!

Sorry julee! The weather here was (literally) a blizzard...then went to pouring rain. Very hard to get going on the weight loss....not to mention my husbands birthday yesterday.

Ugh. I promise to try harder tomorrow. Everyone should be back on routine with work and school.

I am, although basically took this week off unless you count all the snow shoveling. Or extreme snow & ice driving. Saturday was the first day the roads were back to being good and safe to drive on.

Also I always feel like it's not worth mentioning my workouts because people are like "oh of course you worked out today. yawn. boring." Not anybody here in particular, just people in general. I am the boring one who goes to the gym like clockwork even on New Years Day after I got drunk the night before... yep. That's me. So I'm just kind of here to sit back and cheer people on and help out when people need it!

Um, I don't know if the names of these exercises are right. They sound ridiculous. But I did them!

All with 2lb dumbbells
20x palms in shoulder press
50x alternating shoulder press
20x seated side lateral raise
20x lying fly

Without dumbbells:
2x 35 second plank
Plus a 1.5 mile walk with groceries!

And (up/back from the grocery store):

Em enjoyed it.

I am posting here so I can have motivation to actually DO things. I gained 3 pounds over the holidays when I was off work, which has put me at the heaviest I've ever been in my entire life. I would like to loose at least 5 pounds and keep it off and if that goes well, I'd like to try for an additional 10 pounds.

Plan is to cut out snacking (I've been horrible about this lately), start working out again every other day in the evenings, and start taking the dogs for a hike (at least 45 minutes) on the days I'm home during daylight hours.

Well being snowed in with the family for several days and I'm UP one pound this week :(

As for working out, until spring my workouts will be on the treadmill, yoga mat, Wii U, and bike. My current goal is to spend at least 30 minutes per day engaged in some form of exercise.

I try to follow Weight Watchers Points Plus as far as eating.

I think I might join you guys on this thread. I have about 30 pounds I want to dump so I can move faster on the agility field.

Wine is my downfall and sitting too much during the day with work. Both of those have added to the spread of my butt and the overall pudge I have going on.

I have a Wii fit and I picked up a couple of Just Dance games that I have heard people have had good success with losing weight. I'm planning on working in some yoga with that too.

You guys can be my accountability to get off my butt. :p

Tracking my calories just makes me depressed. And not in the way you would think. Finally decided to get back to doing it. And it's like MyFitnessPal is just trying to rub it in my face.

LOLOL you have to eat 1139 calories still and somehow get 108g of protein LOLOLOL HAVE FUN WITH THAT

You're a jerk, MFP. A jerk.

And then what's going to happen is I'm going to go to the gym and add that and it will be like YOU HAVE LIKE FIVE HUNDRED MORE CALORIES FOR TODAY EAT ALL THE THINGS

jerk. jerk. jerk.

Don't get to workout until after 10pm, bleeeh.

I love drinking water. LOVE it. The water in this house is disgusting and makes me sad. Very excited to get back to my well water in CT.

Beanie, post your workout from tonight!

Well, it's Tuesday, and Tuesday means BodyPump. We did a new release tonight which is always fun and always painful. Now my shoulders do not want me to open the door to let the dogs out to potty, wash my hair, or lift anything heavier than a fork of chicken and cashew nuts. My legs do not want me to move at all and especially don't want me to go back down in the basement and turn off the bathroom vent.

Ignoring MFP's "helpful" suggestion of eating back my calories, I still need about 700 calories and 50g of protein. Well okay then.

Well, my legs hate me. Work should he fun tomorrow.

And only one snack!

For kicks and giggles I'm going to have my step counter at on at work tomorrow...I'd be interested to see how "far" I walk over the course of a work day.
