When I was studying abroad in Staffordshire I went up to Hull to visit my friend (who goes to uni there). She took me to Scarborough which was awesome, seaside towns are my fave (love the coin-pusher games bahhaha). Also went to Llandudno, though off-season. :p
Ha, well, i was born and grew up just outside of hull - did you see Beverley? And I went to hull uni as well ;)

I'm about 2hrs from Llandudno now. Not sure I've ever been!

Small world :D

Sorta, passed through Beverley on the train to Scarborough. Transpennine express ftw. ;) Heading back to Hull in April though, really excited (am I the only person in the universe who is excited to go to Hull?).

Loved Llandudno, though some of my friends went hiking in Snowdonia at the same time and I kind of wish I went with them instead. Though I did climb up the great orme in Llandudno which was still pretty cool.

Okay sorry for derailing the thread. :p

Hull won capital of culture so will have lots of money invested in it! It's inhabitants are very proud of their city! It's likely I will be that way in April myself, my family are still there, and my brother is moving home from china, and my nephews first birthday is in April! So if they're back and I visit you will have to meet Fred and Bodhi!

Failing that come stay here, I live in snowdonia ;) The southernmost part of it, but still in the national park!

I'm 1/2 Polish (mom's side), and 1/4 Belgian and 1/4 French on my dad's side, with a little Native American mixed with the French. I went on a geneology site a few years ago and found out that my grandma's family came to Quebec from France in 1620, which is pretty amazing, and they stayed very insular until just the last couple generations.

You LIVE in Snowdonia? That's awesome! :D

We'll be in touch. I'll book my flights as soon as my April exam schedule is released and I'll let you know. I'd love to meet up! :)

Little of everything. Irish, Scottish, Belgian, Scandinavian, French, French Canadian, German, Lithuanian, more but I can't think of it right now. I think there may be some Native American on my dad's side way back, but that would be almost the last thing you'd guess by looking at me. I think my features reflect my heritage pretty clearly; very pale (no freckles), straight dark auburn-ish hair, clear green eyes, long lashes, rangy build, high cheek bones, small, straight nose.

My list: Greek and Native American (Iroquois), French, English and god knows what else on my mom's side, and Czech, English, Irish on my dad's.

I'm mainly Greek and Iroquois, English might be close behind that.

I don't know for a fact but I've always been told English, Irish, German, and Native American on my mom's side. Supposedly my last name is very Irish.

I know nothing about my father's side.
