I'm slowly working on a shoulder stall with both Didgie and Traveler. It's slow going though getting the foot placement consistent.
Trav already had a shoulder stall. I was there. Just flail a bit and there he'll be :p

Traveler and I are never going to live that down :rofl1: Good thing the visual of it still makes me crack up!

And you PEOPLE! I see you posting on FB, all your pictures of your dogs on things but I don't see you HERE. Rocking hoses, cinder blocks, buckets....but not on here.

Because it was way too funny. I was so shocked haha. I think it's proof he wants to come live with me.

Umm, I was going to work on this tonight but Feist is in a food coma. Left her in the capable hands of my family, came home to find she had free fed from a giant bowl of dog food today! People are too used to having poodles around here. :rofl1:

I am totally stealing the bucket thing though, was trying to come up with something that would not be too difficult for a crazy leggy puppy with no control of her body, and I don't think I have a cinderblock like the rest of you :p

Bwahahaha OK here's a puppy on a bucket:

I wanted to wait until he gets a bit more stable so I can have him posing better on it, but this dark cell phone pic will have to do for now :p

I'm also working with Kimma on a leg stall (my legs will not accommodate a foot stall - I am the most not flexible person ever). So having her perch on my shins with my legs bent will just have to do LOL.

She can also do a shoulder stall but the likelihood of my getting a pic of that are slim to none. Maybe I can try to set up my broken tripod for a video, or if I'm super lucky, maybe a timed pic.... Though I haven't tried it with her in a while.....

I love to see the differences between my three.

This morning, Maisy is all over it like she's been doing it her whole life. Hops up right away, sit, sit-to-stand, stay, whatevs. *yawn*

Squash was back to I HOP OVER THIS THING RIGHT? this morning until I got the chair out again and practiced on that for awhile. Then I brought the stool back out and his light bulb re-lit and we practiced on the stool for a few minutes.

Pip is far more challenging than either of them. He gets his front feet right up there but it apparently does not occur to him to put his rear feet up. He's not scared or intimidated, and I don't think it's physically uncomfortable for him in any way, but if I lure him he just streeeeetttccchhhes as far as he can until it's obvious he can't reach, then slaps it with his front paws a couple of times.

I'm having to mark and treat ANY tiny movement of his front feet towards the front of the stool and of his rear legs towards the stool, period, and jackpot him if a rear foot should happen to touch it. Slowly he is catching on. He actually lifted a rear foot towards the end of our session this morning. Once his light bulb goes off, he tends to progress really fast so hopefully in the next few days he'll make some more progress.

In the meantime, he loves training so much and he's just so dang happy. LOOK I AM DOING IT, lol.

I've been away from Chaz for a week or so, but here's a small contribution. It's an older shot (~1 month?) so you may have seen it around the forums.

I've not had the opportunity to work on it much over this last week, but I'm working on getting a more reliable beg while perched on things. Eventually I want to get a spin too, but it's a bit tougher for Cohen.

Here's another (older) action shot of Cohen hopping up into a footstall while she was still learning. She gets this adorable soft, scrunched up face while looking down on me from my feet.

I loooove the perch work. Cohen is a bit less enthused since she's not entirely sure she can trust me to not drop her (she may be right) plus it's really hard work for her, but it produces some neat results.

I LOVE PERCHWORK!

Currently we are doing a lot of exercise ball work at home because of the short days. Much easier to wear out the young dogs and keep them in condition on a moving perch!

Zip Tie is working on sit pretty on the ball.
Zuma is working on a sit pretty on a backstall.
Zinga is working on her one-footed footstall (old picture for funsies)

Umm, how do you not have a cinderblock? That's step three in dog training. Get food, get clicker, get cinderblock.

I'm working on the shoulder stall too! Working towards being able to have them do it while I'm standing, so far I'm just kneeling very upright.

Does/did you neck get the brute of it? Seriously felt like they were trying to decapitate me when I started.

Cam can now climb up onto a chair.
Yay Cam!

Web is like "Yeah, so? What is their problem?"

In the meantime, he loves training so much and he's just so dang happy. LOOK I AM DOING IT, lol.

I love when they're like that. Kaylee was like that, might have taken her awhile to figure things out but the whole time she was doing it she was like "YAY learning! Yay Food! Yay things!" And it just made it so fun even if you didn't make much progress

I.Love.Cohen. Those pictures are awesome!

I'll give the Koolies credit, they don't care how many times, how often or how hard they fall or I drop them. They keep coming back for more!

I've been working with them on a stool and me laying down while asking for sit pretty so hopefully once we've got the balance and strength down in the footstall we can move onto sit pretty. But Didgie thinks that doing sit pretty while I'm laying down is stupid.
Step 1 (got it!)

Step 2 (almost there)

Step 3 (just starting)

Yay!

Cohen and the koolies are totally role models. :D
You're puppy is so freaking awesome. Between you and Oko you're raising the bar waaaay too high for all us mortals when we get puppies

Hahaha thank you, this is too fun. I really am enjoying this.

That single foot stall is crazy. I hope you're planning on one dog per foot. ;)

I forgot this, too.

YAY triple buckets!!! I only have one big bucket so I can't do multiple dogs on those :p

ACK! Cohen is so awesome!

And I always love your guys, Sara. That picture of Zinga is super cute :D

YES. I had scratches ALLLLL over my neck/shoulders when we were working this. I'm a bit scared to try it again honestly, LOL.

And Adrianne, he is SO CUTE and SMART. Makes me almost want a Mal but then I play with the Dutchie and work and I'm like yeaahhhhhhh....... Not sure if I can handle that.
