The Venting Thread

Going on 36 hours without power. It is absolutely freezing and I'm grumpy and now they're saying that it could be up to a week before power is restored. So after Christmas. And we're supposed to have Christmas at our house. I'm freezing and uncomfortable and couldn't sleep at all because I was shivering all night.

Same here. I'm at the boyfriends house and have no power and my house has no power. The best part is that at the boyfriends house the apartment building across the street, the high school next to his building and mall across the street all lost power after us, yet everything has had power restored since 3 or 4 yesterday afternoon...Except the boyfriends building. I just want a warm shower! But at least the guy who owns the convenience store is letting us charge our phones there.

I'm sick....

I'm stuffy and coughing and hoarse and just blah.

The worst part is I'm supposed to sing at Christmas Eve service tomorrow and right now that's just not possible. I am praying for a drastic healing over night

Same! Some of my friends lost power after us and already have it back. Some only lost power for like an hour! And now we're going on almost 48 hours and STILL in the dark. Though finally my mother caved and booked us a hotel. Thank god! I couldn't handle another night in the cold.

Does it need to snow more?

Seriously, we have a foot of snow already. We are getting more snow this week.

So my brother mentions to me today that he's getting me a Christmas present?
WE NEVER GET EACH OTHER GIFTS.

I'm done with my shopping! And now I have to be one of "those" people who goes out shopping on Christmas Eve And I was so proud of myself for getting my shopping done early for once.

I don't even know what he wants.

Ugh I invited some people over to frost cookies tomorrow and they were just posting on facebook about how they're sooooo sick. And the 2 year old is sick. And the dad is sick. And the mom just got over being sick. And then I get a text asking "Oh what time for cookies tomorrow?" Um. No. I don't want all of us to get sick because you don't control your toddler at all and he WILL touch everything in the house. And no, it doesn't give him a better immune system, he gets sick all the time because he has a **** immune system because you only feed him McDonalds and sweets.

How wrong is it to un-invite them? Or lie and say that we had to cancel?

I would just be like "Oh I saw your Facebook posts about how you guys are sick so I thought you weren't coming! Sorry, we made other plans!"
Because gross.



I haven't heard anything from the place I interviewed at. They could possibly be busy with the holiday but they told me they were hoping for somebody to start early in the new year. So I guess that's it.

I have been working so hard on my dads gift and ya still not done. I have to go over there tomorrow.... I would stay up more and finish it except I realized I was getting careless and needed to stop because I was at the point of dear god let me finish now! And i dont want to ruin 14 hours work for the last two. Maybe I can get up early

Oh that's good. Hmmm. It's 11 now so I think I've procrastinated long enough to wait until tomorrow morning.

Hah, funnily enough this is a different lady with the same name and an equally annoying toddler that is also always sick. I think I'm just destined not to have friends with kids.
