I know that we've had threads on what supplements ya'll give to your dogs, but I looked and couldn't find it.

So, what do you all supplement your dogs food with and where is your favorite place to get it?

Hudson gets salmon oil added to his food fairly regularly. I'm on the lookout for probiotics because his belly has always been iffy, solid stool one outing and soft, liquidy the next. He does get yogurt mixed in sometimes too.

My guys get Welactin and Kelp. Piper gets Glyco Flex II and Ligaplex II as well since she has TTA surgery and has arthritis.

I get the Welactin & Ligaplex II at work. Glyco Flex II & Kelp I get on Amazon for super cheap.

Sometimes I add a probiotic in, but I haven't in awhile.

Frodo: Anti-inflammatory dose of Pollock oil every morning, Cosequin DS, Plaque-Off, and an anti-histamine (if that counts LOL!)

Siri: Pollock oil for fun, Plaque-Off, and Solid Gold Berry Balance.

I get the Pollock oil from work, the Cosequin/Plaque-Off/Berry Balance from Amazon, and the anti-histamine from Target.

I rotate between different oils. Salmon, pollock, sardine and sometimes a plant oil. Lately I've been using Camelina oil because I found it on sale. I try to add coconut oil too when I remember to buy it, but I'm not as good about coconut oil simply because I prefer pouring oil and coconut oil always needs to be scooped.

Otherwise, they get kelp a few times a week, a probiotic (right now Nature's Farmacy) and that's about it. Journey also takes BIS Enhanced, which is a digestive supplement/joint supplement/vitamin supplement just because someone gave it to me. Once the container is done I'll start her on GlycoFlex II I think (or another joint supplement, not sure yet) and she can just have the probiotics and supplements the rest of the dogs get as well.

As far as where I buy everything, I used to buy from the pet store I worked at. Now I buy from whichever pet store I happen to be shopping in and the coconut oil last time came from Community Health (because a big container was a decent price).

Kind of what Caleb gets0 Salmon oil, Plaque-Off and an anti-histamine daily, Vit 3, a can of sardines on Wednesdays and a raw egg on Saturdays.

Lauren - How do you like the plaque off?...
Not Lauren, but I've been happy with it, and so has my vet. It looks to be expensive, but only until you realize how long a bottle lasts. A small bottle lasts 3 months here (Caleb gets 2 scoops a day).

She says she loooooves the plaque off.

Starting with the oldest:
Buzz Supplements
*Grizzly Pollock oil (amazon)
*NaturVet Digestive Enzymes/Pro & Pre biotics blend (amazon)
*Dasuquin (rehab work)
*Wapiti Labs Longevity (retail work)
*Famotidine (walgreens/cvs)
*Vitamin B Complex (walgreens/cvs)

Buzz Rx Meds
*Meloxicam (Metacam, NSAID-$4 from target)
*Adequan (rehab work)
*Gabapentin (rehab work)
*Soloxine (rehab work)

Bailey Supplements
*Fish Oil (my mom prefers the capsules, so she buys those wherever they're on sale)
*Dasuquin
*Vitamin B Complex
*Solid Gold SeaMeal (amazon)

Bailey Rx Meds
*Metacam (rehab work, her dose is too small for the generic from Target)
*Soloxine
*Fluoxetine ($4 from target/walmart)
*Clonidine (target/walmart)

Gabby Supplements
*Grizzly Pollock oil
*Vitamin B Complex
*Solid Gold SeaMeal

Gabby Rx Med
*Soloxine

I do a liquid oil (rotating Alaska Naturals salmon, Natures Logic sardine, and Grizzly pollock), a glucosamine/chondroitin (Pet Naturals), Wapiti Mobility, a digestive enzyme (either ProZyme or OptaGest) kelp/seameal (PetKelp or Solid Gold) and pumpkin for the dogs.

The cat gets a UT support, a daily vitamin/mineral, and a glucosamine/chondroitin (all from Pet Naturals). We're turning it up a notch after her dental and will be adding the PlaqueOff to her food, along with a dental gel (VetzLife).

I buy almost everything from Amazon. A couple things I buy from work but most of it is still cheaper at Amazon, even with my discount.

Came back too late to edit- Vitamin 3 should be Vitamin E. I buy the Salmon Oil, Vit E and anti-histamine at WalMart. It's pretty obvious where I get the other stuff. :)

Herpdederpdederp

ETA (because I forgot stuff):
Gabby also takes an eye vitamin from The Vitamin Shop Opti-Vue with FloraGlo Lutein (as recommended by other people with dogs diagnosed with PRA--there has been evidence of it halting the progression of the disease--Gabby takes one capsule twice weekly).

Buzz & Gabby also take a Vitamin E supplement three times a week.

Sometimes when I remember to, I give Juno Nzymes. Just from a local pet store.

Also sometimes when I remember, Juno and Happy get a glucosamine/MSM supplement. From Costco because cheap.

Otherwise... nada!

Right now I'm just developing a supplement regimen. Below is what the girls get, plus what I plan to give them (marked with *):

Lucy - overall very healthy, but suffers from allergies and some skin issues (all likely related to her Lupus)

  • anti-histamine
  • pollok oil*
  • solid gold seameal*
  • plain yogurt (to be replaced by a good probiotic*)
  • pumpkin 1x week

Angel - has variable stool (solid to soft) and some joint issues
  • Cosequin DS
  • fish oil capsules (forget the brand but I'm going to likely give her the same pollok oil Lucy will be getting)
  • plain yogurt (to be replaced by a good probiotic*)
  • pumpkin 1x week

Now I kinda want to try the Plaque-Off. But, MORE STUFF?!

I get it from a pet feed store near my home location. I used to feed "Homeopet Dog Anxiety Relief 15ml by The Company of Animals" and "Animology Digestion" for my dog. It really worked and i continue to buy more supplement from there.

I just realized the other day there are 2 products called Plaque Off. One is a water additive (Plaque Off), the other is a powder (PlaqueOff). The one I use is PlaqueOff.
