I can't really wrap my head around it. I brought home a puppy yesterday, right? How is he almost middle-aged.

At least he doesn't act it. <3

It's a VERY busy Friday for me, but he'll still get pampered - I'll be making some peanut butter carob chip cookies for the boy, myself and Finnegan to share. I'm also making pulled pork for dinner using dog-safe ingredients, so he'll get a few spoonfuls in his food bowl tonight.

I could wax cheesy for hours, but I do that every year. The world knows how much he means to me. He's sweet, playful and a bit nuts. I hope he never changes. Thanks for being my best friend, buddy.

Mia's about to turn 5 too this year. WTF? Where did the time go for all our baby dogs?

I love Finn, he is so handsome and gorgeous. And he makes the best faces. :p

All of our puppies are getting old. NOT FAIR. But with most of them you'd never know it, haha. Finn still acts like a big puppyderp. He does get tired much more easily than before, though. I noticed it this year when we went on a two hour hike-swim this August and it knocked him out for three days. I remember the times when that would be round one.

Happy birthday Finn! He's just hitting his prime at 5, now he's a stately grown up dog :p. My goodness he was an adorable puppy. <3

I REJECT THIS. FINN COULD NOT POSSIBLY BE FIVE.

It's amazing how the energy levels drop from 3-5. It's kind of disappointed.

Happy Birthday Finn!!! You were an ultra cute puppy and now you're a drop dead gorgeous adult. Absolutely love you :)

What?? Come again?!?? Sorry, but Mia can NOT be 5! How is that possible? :rofl1: I think she is just so full of personality and energy and adorableness that I still think of her as being a very young dog. When is her birthday?

Trent is turning 5 in February  I want to know where the time went, too, and I would like it back please.

Happy Birthday Finn!! He is so handsome.

Lola's turning 5 in April, seems like there was a puppy boom 4-5 years ago!

I'm kind of sad lately. Mia can rest for days on end. I know for most people that's a GOOD thing but I refuse to acknowledge that my baby dog is not such a baby anymore. Sigh... She's also gotten a lot moodier and grumpier lately. When she's a senior, she's going to be a major bitch.

Hers is in April. We did have a fantastic puppy boom that year.

Happy Birthday, Finnamin! And yeah, HOW is he 5?? I'm still refusing to acknowledge Sawyer is approaching 11. Thank God he still acts like he's 5.

Omg, right. Jackson turned 5 this year and I'm just like :yikes:

Doesn't even seem right. You know Finn has always been a favorite of mine. If I could steal him, I would <3 LOL...

Happy birthday, Finnegan!

Finn's definitely crankier too, especially where his social activity with dogs is concerned. He still loves being with other dogs, but is a lot more snippy at dogs who pester him to play. He's much happier just in the company of other dogs now than actively playing with them like he used to. Thankfully most of our regular dog hangouts/hikes are with similar middle-aged cranky dogs. :rofl1:

ACK I can't believe he's 5 already! Where does the time go?

Right?? I went back and found the thread where I was going to pick him up, and everyone here was just so excited for me.

*snf* Oh Chaz.
