I don't get sick much or know a lot about pharmacies and drugs, but I'm fairly positive they just KEEP the sudafed, Claritin, Etc behind the pharmacy counter with certain ingredients in them that can be used to make illegal drugs, because they want to ID and monitor how many are going to whom- which they limit iirc.

So... No prescription necessary, just stored somewhere else- like cigarettes. Right?
Exactly this.

Regular claratin can not be turned into drugs. Claratin D can.

In Oregon, you do need a prescription. People were gaming the purchase limits and still making meth.

Depends on your state. In Arkansas, you have to have a prescription to get any Sudafed products at Wal Mart.

Anything with the D is prescription only.

Meth is bad.

In Illinois you don't need an rx but the real stuff is all behind the counter, so you have to show your ID and sign a form that says I'M NOT MAKING METH. There are limits and also they monitor people as they go from store to store. There was a guy here years ago (when I was working in retail still) - he went to Target and bought his limit. Then he went to Meijer he bought his limit. When he arrived at the Wal-Mart pharmacy, the cops were waiting for him.

The stuff out on the shelf doesn't do anything at all for me, so I have to jump through the hoops. I don't mind, because Sudafed is seriously the only thing that helps me feel human again when I have a sinus infection. Even if I had to go to a doctor for it, I would be glad to, and my insurance blows.

Today my sinuses aren't bothering me but my stomach is. Nice and nauseated. Also we got a "light dusting" of snow last night which brought a hefty amount of ice along with it. Both my co-worker and I were late to work by fifteen minutes because we didn't realize how long it was going to take to get all the ice off our windows.
Of course I HAVE A GARAGE I COULD PUT MY CAR IN AND SKIP ALL THAT... AT A HOUSE I DON'T LIVE AT... fffffffffff.
I should have just been like "*$)@ it, I feel like puking anyway, I'm going back to bed."

I really don't know the difference between all of these medicines and what does what... I just know some can make drugs!

But seriously, I just avoid medication, hospitals, and illness like the plague.

The only thing I've had to go to the doctor for or be medicated for in the last 5 years is staph. -_-

You should teach us all how to avoid illness. Because seriously, if I could just NOT get sick anymore, that'd be awesome. Unfortunately I think working in a building that has a preschool in it isn't helping.

Also, medication has helped me a LOT. I'm more functional than I've ever been right now thanks to medication.

I'm not saying medication doesn't help, I just don't like using it so I try really hard not to get sick and if/when I do I try a lot of natural things to get better before thinking about medications.

Over the last year I've been lucky enough to not need meds any longer for migraines... I cut caffeine almost entirely (I do drink coffee occasionally, but no pop!), cut sugary drinks(I only drink water throughout the day), started eating organically (primarily.. I do indulge in taco bell from time to time ;)) and started working out and meditating. I use natural skin care products and avoid flouride... I just feel like a much better person physically and mentally, these days! I have had one migraine in the last year compared to the 5-8 I'd have a year previously, have only had a few blood sugar issues compared to the 5 or so I'd have a year previously, and I'm happier and in better shape. :)

It's also entirely possible that it's all in my head. :p

Cutting out gluten helped IMMENSELY with all my sickness stuff; I'm pretty sure more than going paleo and axing the processed foods, it's really just the gluten. I still have migraine meds but I rarely need them anymore. I think I've used two, maybe three in the last year and a half? The so-called IBS is now gone. And my co-workers are sick all the frickin' time and I've never caught anything from them. I feel like crap for a day, maybe it bleeds over into two where I just don't quite feel right, then I'm fine again. It's worlds away from getting a sinus infection twice every year that was almost guaranteed to turn into bronchitis and knock me out for a month+.

But I still have to hit the doctor for my birth control. I don't think endometriosis goes away if you stop eating gluten and I'm not keen to just try to find out. =P No thank you, throwing up and crippling cramps even month just doesn't sound like fun...

no ma'am, because iv done the same thing and iv lost weight AND feel a million times better. i used to get crippling 2-day-long migraines once a month, and now i get them maybe twice a year and only when the weather changes in a certain way (im like a storm predictor lol), i have more energy, i sleep better, i wake up better, my heartrate goes down quicker after exertions, etc etc.

Just got Lightroom and wanted to do some editing, then had to leave for the day an hour early. Getting home super late to a crazy puppy, so not happening today. Sad sad. :(

Ugh. The people that adopt dogs from animal control around here...

Gorgeous, sweet white shepherd and brindly "greyhound" *cough* pit bull *cough* in today for surgery. Owners... don't seem like they are the right fit at all... :(

Did any of you get the number on the truck that seems to have run me over and then backed up over me for good measure today?

:(

I am having pain in my left breast... Been going on for a few days. I go to see my doctor tomorrow. I did some searching on web MD and I am pretty sure it's an infection in the duct but even still I can't help but be a little worried and scared. I haven't ever experienced something like this before

My thermodynamics class forces us to do our homework with a partner, which is ok and I like it. The problem is my partner. He doesn't do most of the work, he doesn't understand the basic concepts behind the work, he is late for our meetings ever time, and then he questions wheither my answers are correct!

He said my answer was wrong because it wasn't a superheated liquid so we agree'd to meet the teacher to double check today at 3. He was suppose to be there at 2:50pm today so we could go over it real quick. He wasn't there. So just past 3pm I went and asked the teacher and I was correct. so I left. He didn't even bother to answer my texts until a few minutes ago at 3:40pm!!! And he says "I'm here now" ......really!? I'm so freaking done with this kid. He is the most annoying person ever, smacking his gum and coughing on his hands and not making any sense when we try to do the homework. And he freaking has the gall to ask where I am!? WTF?

I'm just so done with him.

OMG I hate gum smacking ... Worst. Habit. Ever. I was behind someone at a has station who was doing it incessantly, I wanted to smack the gum out of their mouth.

Have you recently changed birth controls? Since I've started a different pill I will get period related breast pain.
