We do dishes after they're used, pick up things as needed and we pay people to clean the house (floors, dust, bathrooms, etc) every other week.

I need to clean on a more rigorous schedule...since it is just me living here currently, I basically clean when I can't take the clutter anymore.

Like today, for example. My dirty dishes are starting to stack up, the floor really needs to be vacuumed, the trash is full, and the bathroom sink is starting to look a little "meh". So I really need to take care of that, and probably will since today is my day off...but I've let it go on for awhile. LOL

As often as needed.

Minimum once per week we do a concentrated effort (usually Saturdays) where everything gets straightened/vacuumed/dusted/bathrooms cleaned. If I'm really ambitious, I'll bring up the shark steam mop and mop floors too, but that's more of every 3 weeks or so.

Daily we'll do dishes/straighten up.

What is this "Household Chore" thing of which you speak? Things get picked up when we either slip on them, or stub our toes. Is that considered cleaning, or just averting a potential HazMat situation?

Reality: Four adults, three large dogs, and a fish. We tidy/clean as we go along. Ok, *they* tidy and I clean, because I'm a little bit weird about the way things should be done.

Vacuum when the fur gets too deep... okay, maybe a little more often than that. Can't stand dirty dishes in the sink so that's after every meal, clean bathrooms every week, laundry gets done once or twice a week. Not much of a stickler when it comes to dusting but we've got some much stuff on horizontal surfaces - knickknacks, figurines, framed photos, books, candles, that it's a chore dusting/moving all that stuff to get to the table/shelf surface. My solution? A small magnet that says, 'You may write in the dust, just don't date it.'

Deep, frenzied cleaning if company is coming over, which luckily doesn't happen too often since we're further away than most family members, friends in the city, want to drive.

I *loathe* doing dishes. Like, hate hate hate. I don't have a dishwasher, so everything has to be done by hand...and because I hate it, I let them all pile up and then do them all in one fell swoop, which makes me hate it even more. I really need to start washing them as soon as I'm done using them...but washing dishes.

We vacuum every morning because of the German Shedders we have. lol We pick up toys every night and do dishes when they are used. We clean as we do things most of the time and for other stuff we do as needed. We do have assigned chores for each person though. For example who ever cooks doesn't have to clean the kitchen/dining room. Who ever didn't cook does that.

That's me and Sis (we share a house). I loathe cooking, so unless Sis wants frozen dinners or eating out of a can, she cooks and I clean up the dishes/kitchen afterward.

I kinda tidy up/pick things up a couple times a week, and then either Friday or Sunday we (Ryan and I) set a time for 45 minutes and clean all the things, like floors and bathroom.

I generally do a little every day. However, there are areas that get neglected for a long time (like the kitchen counters, I'm a piler). I tend to vacuum at least 6 days a week though (because four animals in a studio necessitates that). And I never let dishes sit for more than 12 hours, but I usually do them right away. I do have a dishwasher, but I have so few dirty dishes (most often just pet bowls!) that I just hand wash most of the time.

I sweep every day (sometimes twice), because the dogs shed and track dirt everywhere all the time. It's amazing how much dirt and hair I sweep up every single day!

Dishes I try to do as they are made but sometimes it's more like once a day. Clean the whole kitchen usually once a day.

Dusting probably happens about once a week for all surfaces, same ish for cleaning bathrooms.

Vacuum and mop pretty rarely...and I hate laundry so I always let it go longer than I should.

Dishes get done daily, as does the kitchen. In the evenings once dinner is cooked and eaten we load the dishwasher (everyone puts their stuff in over the day), clean the counters and the sink as well as tidy up the kitchen.
Sinks & toilett get done twice a week (tuesdays & fridays). I usually dust twice a week as well because esp. the bedroom get really dusty. I also dry swiffer as needed (so like every other day)
Then on fridays I clean all the things like complete bathrooms including shower & bathtube, kitchen countertops & doors. Then once everything is vacuumed the kitchen, hallway and both bathrooms get mopped.
Since our whole apartment is tiled I'll usually mop the bedroom, office and living/dinning room once a month. Thats also when I move the portable kitchen crap and mop behind there.
Stuff like windows, fridge ect. get cleaned every 3 months.

I'll also clean the guest toilett before and after guests are there.

Vacuum everyday. Dishes get washed and dried as soon as you use them. Bathrooms quick wipe down everyday, everybody does their own. Dust, once a week. Counters wiped down a few times a day. The kitchen table gets cleaned after each meal and nothing but the napkin holder is allowed to stay on the table. I have always had a thing about the kitchen table, it has to be bare, can't stand when anyone leaves stuff on it, makes the whole kitchen look dumpy. The only thing I don't really do often enough is wash my windows, I really slack at that.

Dishes and general tidying gets done daily or multiple times a day. I do at least one load of laundry every day to stay on top of it.

I do heavy cleaning (vacuum, mop, dust, bathrooms) once a week - a cleaning day. All dog bedding gets washed as well.

I'm still not used to not having a washer/dryer in my apartment. I used to do laundry pretty much daily to keep everything clean and fresh and not piled up. Now I sometimes do it twice a week, most often once a week and it doesn't all get done.

May I ask what it is?
What the pirate's code is? It basically means I follow my list more like guidlines than actual rules. If that. lol

As for the list itself...

Daily:
Washing dishes
Weeding the garden
Laundry (one load)
Sort & shred mail
Pick up child toys nightly

Weekly:
Catbox - Mon/Thurs
Sugar glider cage (light cleaning) - Tues
Snake chores (spot cleaning, feeding) - Wed
Poop scoop the dog yard - Wed
Take out trash - Thurs
Vacuum carpet / Sweep floors - Fri

Every other week (alternating):
Clean bathroom surfaces
Mop floors

Monthly:
Sugar glide cage (full cleaning)

... I just ran all this off the top of my head, since I'm not actually home to look at my list. :rofl1: I think I got the basics, though.
