Kirkland brand for LB pup?

I'm completely dumb when it comes to feeding a LB puppy! My mom has told me she doesn't want "those super expensive high quality foods, but nothing like Purina either" so she would like to feed Kirkland.

To my knowledge our options then are either puppy or adukt - which might actually be ALS? Any thoughts on which one we should get for a 5 month old dobe?

I never had Juno or Lucy on a puppy food so I don't know.

If you can find the Ca ratio you will be able to see whether it is suitable for a large breed puppy. They have the world's worst website with less information then I have ever seen from a pet food company, no GA.

Lol yeahhhh I tried Googling to no avail. Okay so refresh me, what's the correct ratio? Although i doubt they'll even have that info on the bag.

If they don't have it on the bag, call the company, they are required to have that information, even if they don't make it readily available.

As to correct ratio, the most frequently recommended is somewhere between 1.2:1 to 1.5:1. Different foods in a line can have drastically different numbers, so make sure you ask for the numbers for each formula that you are considering feeding.

ETA: I called SO MANY companies for this ratio when I worked at C&D for people, it's really as simple as calling and asking for the ratio and within 5 minutes they will have the numbers. Most customer service places for pet food have all that information in a binder on their desks. Sometimes if you ask for the numbers of a lot of bags they will just email everything to you

Costco which sells Kirkland also has natures domain grain free salmon and turkey and now beef all with sweet potato. All the nature domain say all life stages on the bags. Kirkland and natures domain are made by diamond pet foods. It's the same as the 4 health line at TSC.

Tons of borzoi breeders raise puppies on Kirkland food. Kaia's first litter was raised on it. For our breed, and most other large breeds, 24% protein and 12-14% fat is one of the key things.

We feed the Kirkland grain free salmon and sweet potato formula. I was planning to feed it to Kaia's next litter. It only costs $35 for a 35 lb bag.

Through lots of Googling I found these ratios from another forum:
Nature's Domain
Salmon 1.5:1
Turkey 1.5:1

Kirkland Adult
Chicken 1.3:1
Lamb 1.4:1

I didn't find the ratio for the puppy formula, but it looks like any of these would be a relatively safe option so I guess it doesn't matter Ugh dog food, so complicated
