Nice stuff! What made you decide on 4-on-the-floor? I spend way too much time obsessing over contacts, so I'm always curious.

LOL I hear ya!

I trained Savvy for a running DW using ST's method. It worked pretty well for the DW, we did not "get the aframe free" though. I believe it's because Savvy had access to the aframe when he's allowed in the big yard to play and learned that it's fun to fly over it. I talked to ST about it, she suggested training the aframe just like the DW, starting with it flat and gradually raising it. And...I just didn't feel like :rofl1: Savvy has some great foundation work, including a nice nose target and a nice race-to-a-target-and-lay-down. So he had the basic ingredients for a 2o2o or 4otf. I thought 4otf was more complimentary to all the RC work I have done, so opted for that. I actually only know what I read about it in Clean Run years ago, I don't have the DVD and think it's out of print. But it was super easy to get him to the point he is in the video with it and while he's hitting a bit higher than I'd prefer, it's helping him be more consistent. And it's much better than what he was doing before. So that's where we are...

I think Roust will have a 2o2o with a nose touch. I'm sure a really good handler could do RCs with him but I don't think I'm that handler. I worry that I could create a dog that I can't adequately control on course. Or who is going to injure himself because he's the most clumsy, oblivious dog I have ever seen. Plus he has a really cool SG style nose touch, so we might as well use it ;) He hasn't done a ton on equipment yet, we've been really focusing on foundations, hence the impulse control video. It took a ridiculous amount of work to get him there, outting and having self control around his tug. For awhile it was almost useless to try to tug with him as a reward because once he had it, you couldn't easily get it out of his mouth. And it was a huge distraction for him to see it in my hand.

Roo makes me smile, he's so gentle and playful. I love how happy Savvy is, too, they look fun!
LOL I'm not sure gentle is something that comes to mind with Roo. Svvy is always happy, no matter what we're working on. Such a cool little dog :)

Here's Roo showing off his wrapping skills. We have had some jump crashing issues and he's doing sooooo much better now.

Wow, Roo looks so good... I know how hard that was with him. I feel like a total slacker with his sister, our outs are so troublesome still. *sigh* But I haven't put in the kind of work you have.

Awww thanks! Yes it took a lot of work to get to this point. It was really important to me for him to be able to tug "like a normal dog" LOL. His style may have been awesome for bitesports but not all that useful for what I do with my dogs. Balls at Flyball were still a problem but the past two weeks, he's been outing pretty well on those too. We still haven't added tug back into more exciting work (you can see that he's getting food rewards in the agility clip), so still some work to do. But...we're getting there!

And don't feel like a slacker! Blossom is way further along in sports stuff than Roo.

LOL in ONE sport... the sport of biting and crashing, her speciality. At least yours can clear jumps! :rofl1:

Well that ALSO took much work!

If there were a contest where they judged dogs on their ability to crash through stuff and wreck things, our dogs would both be champions by now. Roo most often gets compared to Scooby Doo or Marmaduke by my family. I was carrying Roo around one day (cause it's funny...doesn't everyone do that?) and my mom was shocked I was able to pick him up. I told her he only weighed a bit more than 5olbs and she was like "He just seems...so much bigger than that".
