Last night I was hanging out with some people at the park. There was a lady with a 5 month old Std Poodle and I started talking to her about shaping and she's like, yeah, I've clicker trained dogs, I was a trainer for 17 years. And I'm like, cool! Dog person! Later on we start chatting, I mentioned that Crossbone has started putting his toys in the water bowl when we play and she's like, that's a display of dominance. I just looked at her, I kind of thought she might be kidding, then laughed and told her that I think Crossbone just thinks it's fun.

How would dunking stuffed animals or tennis balls be a display of dominance? Dominance to who? Stuffed animal, I'll show you who's boss! Take that!

Well we all know that Crossbone is a horrible dominant animal who rules your household with an iron paw, right? LOL

My muse/rant: 2 DockDog events, 3 flyball tournaments, 3 agility trials, at least one lurecoursing trial, two barn hunt trials, and an IPO trial in the next 3 months, all within a 2 hour drive of my house. HOW DO I DECIDE?!?!?!?!

Mia knows just how to lift my spirits. <3 this dog. We quite possibly just had the craziest game of ball ever played. It was so much fun.

And post-game, I sat down on the couch and Mia nicely grabbed a bully stick and laid down. No demand barking at all. She's really matured lately.

In Indianapolis for Payton and Georgie's first traveling agility trial.
Left Auggie behind with my dad.

Cried for almost thirty minutes.

I'm never leaving him behind again if I can help it. I can't do it.

Summer was being snuggly last night! It is weird, she used to be super snuggly at night until I got Mia then moved to sleeping at the foot of the bed. But last night I woke up twice and she was cuddled up next to me. <3 I missed that.

We did have one moment where both wanted to snuggle in the same spot and they were grumping each other though.

Mia was.... carrying her kibble to my shoe, putting it in my shoe, then eating it out of my shoe.

:confused::confused::confused:

My dog can eat 1.5 cups of kibble, 2 teaspoons coconut oil, and a tablespoon of peanut butter per meal without canon butt or vomiting - as long as I feed her pancreatin with her meals. Hooray! I'm convinced she wasn't processing fats without it. Her coat already feels better!

I broke down and admitted that I want one of the upcoming Pirate puppies. So, probably new puppy for me in a couple months.
Yay! Can I name him? Oh, never mind. Then someday we could potentially have two dogs with the same name. lol My Pirate will probably never have babies but if I were to continue with the pirate theme, I like Buccaneer for a male dog. Buck for short, obviously.
