really really really REALLLLLYYY good news!!!!!

Those of you who saw in the venting thread, my car started having issues the other day and the transmission stopped engaging altogether. We had to get towed out of a busy intersection to our house. Couldn't even put the car in neutral to push it out of the way while we wait for a tow because we were uphill and the car would have rolled backwards down the hill.

Anyways... my car is at the shop and I was told that worst case scenario if they need to redo the transmission it was going to be about $3600. That's a HUGEEEE chunk of our savings to move. Josh and I were freaking out.

Josh called the dealership we got the car from and explained what happened. There is no reason my transmission should be going out at 90k miles. They reminded Josh that we paid the extra for the extended warranty and that we are actually covered up to 100,000k miles... what???? WHATTTTT??????? All we have to pay is a $300 copay. $300 is MUCHHH more doable than $3600 if it ends up being worst case scenario. OMGGGGG... I'm literally freaking out right now.

That is exactly what happened with us. We ended up with a cracked engine block at 50,000 miles on the van. it was a manufacturers defect as there is absolutely no other plausible reason for it. They called and were like "Well... good news and bad news. the bad news.. you have a cracked engine block. that repair costs $7000. Good news... it's going to cost you exactly ZERO dollars because you are still covered under the power train warranty" OH YEAH lol

Glad to hear you got that kind of news :)

Just cleaned my carpets - no more waft of Abrams pee when you walk through the door. Whoot! AND I did the dishes, AND I took the trash out, AND I did my laundry.

I get crap done when I'm not working!

Awesome!! You are going to love it!
Thanks, I hope I will. My bank account is crying even though it's non-is and used. So it better be worth it. ;)

Uhm, so jealous. I don't even think I could handle a lens like that though. I'm still very camera dumb.
Haha, all in good time. I'm super excited, it'll be here by Monday. :D

And the weather is going to be GORGEOUS for our trip for puppy, yay.

This fall we got an email from them saying,"Oh, our bad, we've been taking too much so we'll be sending you a $600 check and your monthly payments will decrease by $200." Then yesterday my boss called me into his office and slid a post it note across his desk and said, "You've been doing a great job, we don't know what we would do without you, so here is an 8% raise."

Happy birthday :D

My good news, simple dog Belle got herself stuck in the garden again but this time she must have rubbed up against the basil and now she smells beautiful :)

PUPPY?

Six hours until I'm out of here, and not only do I have a day off for the first time since my birthday in June, but I'm going to an agility trial. The best days off are days spent amongst dog people.
