Saw Mike's grandma today....she is not doing well. She's lost a ton of weight, isn't eating per the nurses, has no energy, and is currently bed bound on IV fluids. :( No I feel like absolute crap that I haven't taken the time to see her these past few weeks. She was up and standing just last month - today she could barely lift her head.

I really hope she can hang on until Mike can come back. I gave the nursing staff my cell if they need to contact me as I wasn't sure if Mike had given it to them before he left, so hopefully if she makes a turn for the worse they will let me know...but dang. Did not like seeing her so wasted away. :(

My little pony is HUGELY popular... So why is it NO ONE makes a MLP cake? Hannah's birthday is coming up and she wants a MLP theme... She is perfectly happy to have a pony theme with a princess cake but DANGIT... I want yo get her the my little pony cake lol.

So, I am considering making one... YIKES!
Easy enough to make. Wilton has/had a carousal horse pan. All you have to do is decorate it like one of the ponies and ice the pole the same as the background.

I hate the act of preparing food. It's a royal pain in my ass. I have a million things I'd rather do. My husband acts like all the food decisions have to pass through me. FEED YOUR ****ING SELF. Get up, make a sandwich. There's no need to consult me. Really. I do it all the time.

I don't care about food. I'm fine with sandwiches or ramen or whatever 3 times a day. I don't have to have three course meals or the need to plan out weekly meals.

He is completely baffled that I hate grocery shopping, hate making food, and hate cleaning up after meals. OH I'M A WOMAN SO I'M SUPPOSED TO ENJOY THESE THINGS!??!!!

**** it.

Just make a regular cake (round or sheet), frost it in festive colors and let her pick her favorite toy ponies to put on top. My sister and I used to do this all the time for birthdays.

You might want to try looking at the "blind bags." In stores like Wal-Mart and Target they have these cardboard boxes and inside are little bags, they're like $3 a piece or something. Inside is an all-plastic pony. The blind bag part though means you have no idea what pony you're getting (though supposedly there are numbers printed on the bags that you can read to know which pony is inside.)

We actually do have one pony from those (rarity... She is very sparkly lol) but it is hard to find the pony ones here these days but my mother in law just messaged me and said she saw a multi pack of the all plastic figurines so she is going to grab them for the cake :)

I am pretty sure I said goodbye to my grandma for the last time today. :( It makes me very sad. :(

I knew she was not doing well but was shocked at how much she'd declined recently. She didn't speak or even seem to know what is going on. Until we told her it was time for us to go home and she said (first words the whole time) 'Do you have to?' Then she asked for a hug goodbye.

Breaks my heart.

God forbid you learn what it it like to be a single parent, without someone else(your parents, your exes) taking care of YOUR kids' dinner, clothes, homework, and general wellbeing. Because, boo, you worked all week and you're "lonely" so YOU "deserve" to go out all weekend and drop your kid off on someone else and complain they don't meet the schedule of YOUR latest **** buddy.

God forbid you now have to pay your own bills with your cushy salary job. "No money"...just enough to go out all the time.

God forbid you have to learn to be comfortable in your own skin and stand up for yourself and not risk emotional suicide, STDs, or pregnancy because, boohoo, you're LONELY and you should be able to do whatever you want! -Including pawn your kid off on others who love HIM..not you.

You know, I have my own **** to deal with, no doubt everyone does. Difference? I love my life, despite my shifty health and broke status. I have a guy that loves me and will do anything for me. I have an amazing stepson I will cherish and love forever, and do my best to raise into a gracious, kind, educated, tolerant, intelligent man. I have a roof over my head, a great job, food on my table, my bills paid. I love myself, and I have no regrets in my life. Not even you. I can live with the choices I've made. Can you?

How come when I used to work Saturdays, and have Sundays off, all the fun things were on Saturdays...and now that I work Sundays, and have Saturdays off, all the fun things are on Sundays? Makes no sense! :p

I'm sorry :( We're going up to see Zach's grandfather next weekend, and I think it may be the same story. It's awful.

Thanks Cali. It's really rough. :(

I just put away the exact amount into my savings account that I will now need to pull out to buy new tires unexpectedly. I feel like I will NEVER buy a house at this rate because the last 6 months have been full of unavoidable emergency expenses and I'm not putting away near as much as I want.

I'm on vacation for 2 weeks, and all I can think about is I wish Zora were here. Darn furry creatures find a way into your heart way too fast. At least there's an adorable black lab here

Paid the withdrawal fee at an ATM then came across my bank's ATM two minutes later. Darn it. Also wont get my nifty fifty back for 3 weeks, ugh. But camera store people were super awesome and its fun to bop around Boston. Still sad without my lens.

This is exactly what it's like when you have a house.
"Yay I finally have some money! Oh wait. What's broken? And that costs how much? Great."

Don't get me wrong, buying a house is still better than renting.

You just get used to not having any money.

LOL for sure. This year everything costs $800:

- Spring: Tree removal/limbing up = $800
- Summer: Bat removal = $800
- Fall: new brakes+ registration for my car = $800 (not house related, but still)

Guess how much the fence I want will cost? $2400. Guess how much we spent on house and car stuff this year? $2400. Guess when I'm getting my fence? NEVER. Argh.
