The moment where you open up your Facebook profile page and see your smiling, beautiful, grey-faced, perfect dog's picture and you realize that it's only been five months since you lost her but it feels like forever and your heart hurts so much that you feel like it will crack and you feel like you're going to throw up with the grief of it all.
((((Hugs))) Those moments certainly have a way of sneaking up on you.

BF just texted me. One of the dogs threw up. In the bedroom at our new place. Guess which is the only room that has carpet?

I have come home to someone(s) either peeing, pooping or vomiting just about every single day for a month now, anytime someone leaves. Both dogs are usually 100% housebroken, I have no idea which one is doing it and I am getting so frustrated. We don't have room for crates in the new apartment or I'd just go get those out of storage and stick them each in there for the day.

Can you put a baby gate up to keep them from the carpeted area? Our dogs aren't allowed in the living room or the master bedroom becdusenthey those are the only rooms that are carpeted lol.

I really wonder I they know its been a bad day. Lets poop for her inside to top it off! At least every couple of weeks my corgi will be un-housebroken for about three days and then back to normal.

Today was also one of those days for me.

I ordered two collars from GDS. One pink Day Glow, one red TufFlex, both 3/4", both without center ring. I received two Day Glow collars, one red, one pink. I emailed and said the red collar I received wasn't a TufFlex like I had ordered, to which they said I could keep it and they'll send the correct one. Alright, sounds good. I just got the replacement collar. It's a 3/4" red TufFlex... with a center ring. UGH. Do I email them again? I just want the collar I ordered, but I feel like that may never happen. The packing/order slip they put in the box lists the correct collar, but the collar they send has yet to match. I don't understand.

No so-fun parts about being a bridesmaid nobody tells you about:
getting yelled at by various family members who needed confirmation about something as SIMPLE as a "NO CHILDREN" policy on a wedding RSVP note.

Why do they have to make things so awkward. No children means NO CHILDREN, yes including yours.
Deal with it or don't come. End of story.
Jerks. I've been fielding these phone calls for 3 days.

Just got back from work. Leaving in 5 minutes to go visit with Mike's grandmother (who is in a nursing home and is deaf - our communication has always been so-so, so this should be interesting, especially since this is the first time I'll be there without Mike) and THEN having dinner with Mike's mom and my mother, where my future mother-in-law will be meeting my mother for the very first time.

My anxiety is kicking in. BAH.

Thanks, guys. $400 later, she has vomited up dozens of whole raisins and assorted goodies, gotten sub-cutaneous fluids, and had blood work done. They wanted to do charcoal and an enema, but I just wanted to bring her home. They said catching it within 3 hours was good, and she will probably be fine.

We had an agility seminar tomorrow that we'll have to cancel, but if that's the worst of it, oh well.

Silly girl Lucy! Don't scare us like that!

I hope she's ok and is more mad that she had to throw it all up than anything else.

I am lucky my dogs don't get into anything like that (they only come in at night & don't really have access to the kitchen). I am also lucky for ACD's with cast iron stomachs lol.

I have seen them eat things they make me sick just thinking about it.

This weekend is just angering me.

Supposed to get yard prepped for winter and husbands dad talked him into taking the truck to Michigan to help him with his boat. And he is gone next weekend four wheeling.

I think I broke the vacuum to.
