What I really want is a stuffed animal that will go jogging, swimming, and hiking with me.

Someone make me one of those, please.

Turn the volume down before you play it... He's not quite stuffed, but he'd be an excellent hiking partner. :)

I was thinking more like. . .

With this dog:

Seriously, NextDog is going to be a poodle. Rental car is trashed after an hour with Middie inside it. He smells like dog when he had a bath a few days ago. I'm tired of being shed on. And drooled on.

I've been looking at rescue and it looks like there are almost no doodle or standard poodle mixes, though. May end up having to go to a breeder unless that changes in the next few years.

I will never own another drooling or shedding dog again after Gage! I love him, but not again. I really want a show dog next, but if I can't do it ill be looking at re-homes on kijiji. Turns out doodle mutts are on there fairly often!

As much as I know I will probably end up with another BC down the road, I could go a lifetime without Bamm's hair. Ugh. My other two shed some too, but Bamm kills me with his floating tufts of hair that end up EVERYWHERE no matter how much I brush him out. I guess I'm lucky that none of my dogs are drooly dogs though. I hate drool.

You need a zoi. Strider and Kaia can go for 3 months between baths and still smell like shampoo when they get wet. And they're hairy, but they don't shed a whole lot.

With two zois in the house, I find mild dust bunnies in the corners if I don't sweep for a week. They ride in my car all the time and for some reason, no dog hair.

Don't get a beauceron then. :p Zora sheds like crazy and I swear if I wear anything that is not black, I'm instantly black. -.-She also drools. Good thing she's awesome. :D

I like my Whipps for low shed no drool. :) I mean, they do shed, but a good quality food and vacuuming/sweeping once a week and the hair is minimal. I couldn't do dog smell.. it'd drive me crazy!

I <3 Zois. They have minimal shedding of the type of hair that I could deal with, too. But I'd absolutely have to find a breeder. Unless you plan on another Kaia litter, that's probably not happening.

Besides, I don't want a puppy. I mean, I would probably deal with one if necessary, but I don't want one. I want the adult a year and a half later.

I need to volunteer with a poodle rescue, then, when it's time for next dog.
