...this video brought tears to my eyes.

Where the hell are the parents?!?! Why is a toddler on a trike in the road? Why is she getting the snot beat out of her by other children? Why are these older and larger children beating on a toddler? Why are the laughing about it?

Welcome to the future of our country if parents don't get their crap together and start raising their children with morals and values, including teaching kindness and love!!!!!

You know what's really sad if the two girls older brother/cousin whomever was recording this hadn't been there egging this bs on they probably would have played with the third little girl just fine.

But I totally agree with you, where the hell are any of the parents? I hope to hell someone recognizes her and call cps on her parents useless asses. No toddler should be playing in the street, especially unattended.

The comments on the video disgust me as much as the video itself.

It has nothing to do with race and EVERYTHING to do with parenting.

Poor parenting ALL round. Kids aren't born racist bullies, and toddlers need looking after, not abandoning on the streets to fend for themselves!!!!!! Older kids should not be goading their younger siblings to bully even younger babies.

Parents should be monitoring the older kids too and teaching them this!!!!!

This makes me sad. And, yes, how are there no parents of any sort, anywhere?!

I saw that, and I hope the older brother's punishment included marching over to that little girl's house and apologizing to her, and her parents.

If he'd been my kid, he'd have been put at the disposal of that little girl's parents for chores or yard work, after school and weekends, for at least a month. He'd also have to explain to his sisters why what they did was wrong.

While this is in NO way a good thing, or at ALL ok...I dont think its quite as big of a deal as people seem to be making it.

Yes, kids can be jerks, especially when left to their own devices.

Saddened that people are trying to make this about race when its not at all...its about kids being jerky kids.....it happens.

The important part is that the parents ARE involved and stepped in.

Everyone always says "Oh my kids would NEVER do that" but its just not true...you never really know. I know children who have awesome parents..they are still kids and have moments of jerkdom.

I would've gotten my hide tanned if I had treated another kid like that of if I was the older brother of that older girl & I let it happen, I would have gotten my hide tanned also. I would have gotten the "so you want to treat others badly do you? Well let's see how you like it." Kind of medicine :p.

Which is what I think kids are missing these days

First, tanning someone's hide pretty much just demonstrates someone bigger can beat on someone younger. The kids I knew and know who are the biggest bullies are almost all bullied at home by their parents.

Second, how do you know what consequence or punishment these kids are receiving?

Oh but you can hit them its demeaning and demoralizing. I would had a tanned hide as well, and knew it so I didn't do crap like that, ever. And my kid knows he would have, and still would, have a tanned hide as well.

Yes kids can be jerks, absolutely, but why wasn't anyone at all watching them to stop it when it started? Why were they left up to their own devices long enough for this to go on? Even if a parent wasn't standing right there when Mackenzie start crying why wasn't someone in earshot? When my son was that young and went to the park to play I could still hear him. And if he started being an asshat I corrected him, if other kids started being asshats I stepped in and removed Alex, it's my job as his parent to correct his bad behaviours and protect him from other kids who are "just being kids".

I don't think physical discipline is necessary for children to exhibit proper behavior.

Children are powerful influences on one another, which is why, I am guessing, the younger girls were acting out (it seems the older boy was instigating). Proper supervision, however, could have prevented this. The parents were unaware because no one was watching. I cannot imagine allowing a three year old to run amok alone and unwatched...

This.
those children should've been supervised. This is a horrible situation that NEVER should have happened.
The fact that children that young are at it like this is concerning, the whole LOT needs therapy.
hate like that towards others (especially when it manifests into bullying of that degree) is a learned behavior.

I don't think teaching your kid with physical violence is a good lesson towards teaching them that physical violence is not a way to deal with problems.

(don't get me wrong..my parents were heavy handed with punishments as well and as they say "I TURNED OUT JUST FINE!" but I think as we learn more and evolve more it's perhaps time to consider that children are also people..and can be reasoned with, spoken to, taught and understood without hitting them)

I'm glad the parents are involved. I'm still upset about the girl playing in the street. Who else had a heart attack when they saw that?

Maybe it was one of those really quiet neighborhoods where there isn't a lot of traffic going through? I will confess I didn't get through the whole video because it was very upsetting :/.

I do agree with the fact that supervision is the missing link here ... I have seen way to many ill behaved kids not to think that an ass whooping would set many kids straight is silly IMHO
