Pictures please?? And stories behind them? How much did it hurt? Was it worth it?

I got my 2nd lobe piercing on Sunday and I'm obsessed with it LOL! I know it's kind of a mild piercing, but all I've had we're normal ear piercings until now.

I really want my cartiledge done but I'm scared. I have an extremely low pain tolerance. This piercing I got wasn't horrible but it definitely stung/burned for like 10 minutes. I can't imagine it on my cartiledge. I probably will settle for just a 3rd lobe piercing and call it quits. (Though my 1st hole actually was put kind of high up and I'm scared that my 3rd one will be high enough to hurt really bad because its close to my cartiledge).

I also really want a tattoo. I'm planning to do it next year when my sister turns 18 and we can get them together. I either want a white tattoo of a feather or a black tattoo of two bird silhouettes. I wanted the lyrics "You can't fly unless you let yourself fall." (Justin Bieber lyrics ;)) but I want a smaller tattoo and small word tattoos don't end up looking good after a while. So I figured a symbolism of the lyrics (a bird or feather) would be best. :)

I used to have a lot of ear piercing a but a few years ago started having trouble with all but my original piercings that were done as a child. As a result I let mine grow closed. I miss them but my ear would end up swollen and hot feeling and full of puss (ew) if I wore anything in them.

I have had several piercings, tongue was done 3 times, nipples 2 times, eyebrow, Monroe, ears several times, and my conch, I had my lobs stretched to a 00 at one point as well. Now I just have my original ear piercings, one set and the one tongue piercing that won't close lol.

And I have 6 tattoos as well.

I have my ear cartilage pierced, and it didn't hurt at all. Like, literally; I didn't feel him do it.

I went to a really good piercer, though, and he used a very sharp needle, which helps.

If you really want the piercing, I'd say go for it. They last a long time, even when they do hurt. ;]

I got my second hole piercings back in 3rd or 4th grade I think? Then my cartilage pierced in 8th grade. My eyebrow was pierced when I was 18 and then my tongue at 19.

I have one tattoo though there are many more I want lol.

i have three holes in each lobe, and have since I was a teen, however my ears hate all earrings, so I haven't worn any in over a decade. I have had my tongue, eyebrow and wrist pierced. I really liked my wrist piercing (just a surface piercing, but you just saw a ball on each side on top) but after having it for several months, I caught it (in chow hair, amusingly) and once it was yanked at like that, it became constantly irritated. So I took it out.

I don't have any piercings now.

I do have 4 tattoos.

Right now I just have my ears and nose pierced, but I have also had a monroe, a vertical labret, both nipples, and extra holes in my ears (I got the second hole done on one side and cartilage on the other). The ears were done with a gun at a crappy piercing place and the cartilage NEVER healed properly - it was always bothering me so I took it out. I always seem to end up taking them out and letting them grow over if I start having issues (has happened with a lot of them).

I didn't find the ears very painful. But maybe I have a higher pain tolerance? I'm not sure. Nipples were definitely the most painful, really quite bad, followed by the vertical labret (not nearly so bad).

Don't have any tattoos yet but I would like to get at least one at some point. Always too broke!

I have two tattoos. I don't like ear piercings personally for myself, but if someone wants piercings then I say to for it, get your "piercing " on :).

Same with tattoos, I have two but I eventually want to turn them into half sleeves (maybe).

I have two holes in one ear and three in the other. I used to have 00 gauges in one hole in each ear, but I took them out. I had my tongue pierced for a LONG time, but recently took that out. Had my belly button pierced when I was younger. Took that out. My nose was pierced. Took that out too lol. The other piercings I had done and still have are my septum, lip and both my nipples.

As for tattoos. I have 5 or 6 little ones here and there, a chest piece and a sleeve in progress. I have quite a bit more planned. I'm having Cricket's portrait or full body tattooed on my left arm. Getting a tattoo of my grandparents that will probably go on the top of one of my thighs and on the opposite leg I want to get a realistic tattoo of a snake though still undecided on what type of snake. Also getting a bear paw print on my ankle which is a family thing that all my sisters are doing.

Here's a photo of my chest piece. I would like to add more to it eventually but not sure what yet.

And my sleeve in progress. The theme of my sleeve is Native American/nature/animals. I'm part Apache.

The same artist that did my chest piece and arm is the artist that will do my Cricket piece. She is really excited about that one and I want her to do it because I love her work so much.

I've got.. 8 piercings. Tragus, Rook, Cartilage, double in both ears, belly button. Had my snug done, but I didn't have the right ledge for it and it had major issues healing and was very painful, so I had it removed. Thankfully the scar tissue that had built up pretty much went away. I have a super low pain tolerance as well, but they are so worth it. I love all of my piercings, and would really like my nose and lip done, but I don't think it will ever happen as DH doesn't care for face piercings. Lol.

I've got four tattoos... A cross on my side with "Sinner" through it. Stemmed from a song that I love. People really get on me for that one, but I'm just IN LOVE WITH IT. It needs to be reworked, though.. I went to kind of a shady place (though clean)! and she didn't have ink that stayed with me very well. I LOVE the tattoo, but it's only been two years and it looks way old. I've got a small horseshoe and star on my foot, because I'm a horse lady? I passed out during that one (first, needle phobic) and got a sucker. :D Bear paw with marriage date on my lower hip/side matches hubbies, and then a tramp stamp of wings and crossed revolvers to remind me to always stand up for myself and not to let people cut me down (stems from the issues with my dad and learning to become independent and make my own way).

I love all of my ink and what they remind me of/symbolize. I've got a complete shoulder piece in the works, as well as a potential quarter sleeve. I also have one in planning for the side of my thigh, and my old horse's name on my calf. And a small anchor on my wrist that I'm getting with my family. XD I don't know if they will ever stop.

Skittles that. Is. Awesome!
Thank you. My tattooer is pretty amazing at what she does lol. Both my chest piece and sleeve design are completely custom and I can't wait to do more. The other side of my lower part of my arm is going to be a wolf with a dream catcher. Still trying to figure out how we are going to work in the top part of the sleeve.

I really can't wait to see how the one of Cricket turns out. Hoping to book that one soon.

The one on the left was my first tattoo. *sniff* Outside of my right calf, it's an illustration from a story in which a dog is so happy to see his owner upon owner's return from a long journey, he turns somersaults down the street. I like the story and it's a general representation of one of my dogs at the time, a greyhound (I am not a fan of portrait tattoos and prefer symbolic ones).

The one on the right is Squash, "the white hound" which is a bit of Celtic symbolism. Inside of my left calf.

On the right is a Celtic fighting dog, my dog Roxy. Outside of my left calf. On the left is some doodles of Pip, Maisy, and Squash (top to bottom).

Back of my left calf, fairly self explanatory aheh.

Back of my right shoulder, this is my most recent. The shop I use has an event for Sailor Jerry's birthday every year where they do SJ-style flash for fairly cheap and I'd been tossing around getting one done, I am a fan of the style. The swallow has some symbolism behind it that I like regarding always finding one's way home.

Front of left shoulder, more or less over my heart. This was a 15th wedding anniversary present from my husband. There is some marriage symbolism behind two koi swimming together towards a common goal. I'm the redhead and he's the dark koi. The color and detail on this one is really hard to capture, it always looks super washed out in pictures and it's far more beautiful in person.

I have a couple in the works but a not unlimited budget so it will probably be this winter or next spring before I see new ink.

I want you to look John Goodman right in the face and say that!
I don't know why, because a well done portrait tattoo can be a beautiful piece of art, but honestly I would feel really, really weird with like... Squash's actual face on me somewhere. But funky Squash-ish art? No problem.

I have no explanation.

I actually don't like portraits either. Elsa's face I had done new school like all my other stuff so it didn't look like a portrait. JG was just way too hilarious not to do.

I had my tongue pierced forever. Like 10 years. A few months ago I had some sort of bump/blister/sore spot under it, I took it out, and haven't tried to see if it will go back in :/. It didn't hurt much to pierce it (and I'm a wimp) but it was extremely irritating for the first 3-4 days. If you can just wait those days out, you are golden.

I got this tattoo at a tattoo party...it's okay, although I might want to extend it and definitely want the bird touched up. Getting a tattoo definitely hurts but only while the gun is in your skin..they lift up every few seconds, and there really isn't residual pain.

This one I got a few months ago, I saw on facebook a tattoo shop was doing pawprints for a local shelter for $50. My boss and I took a ride and got it done. It's Romeo's pawprint, I pressed it in ink and brought it in. This one hurt way more than the shoulder, I had a hard time sitting through it and the healing took longer. I do love it though.
