Just for fun... is mine a possible guess?

Natasha is now thirteen months old, and I've always been curious about the breeds she's a mix of, and, over the time, I got to a conclusion: She's a podenco (maybe Ibizan) /Pointer /Galgo mix, breeds that are actually common where I live. I would like to know your two cents about this, though.
There's some information and, below, some pics:

-She's, clearly, a hunting dog, her prey drive is really intense. She's also fast and biult like a sighthound, but her bones are not as thin.
-Her ears look like a pointer's most of the time, but I've seen her about five or six times when they looked like a Galgo. Yesterday was one of those days, and I can tell it's not my imagination.
-She seems to have the galgo personality, but it's smaller, she's the size of a pointer.
-She was labeled as a podenco mix, and in her personality there are some visible podenco traits.

How old is she? She looks like a pup still. If so it'll be easier to tell once she is grown.

I am guessing that you live in Spain, since there is nowhere else in the world (that I know of) where Galgos and Podencos are that common?

I have 2 Podenco Ibicenco (Ibizan Hounds) and a Galgo Espanol. I wouldn't have guessed that she was either of my breeds but she is young and genetics can do so many things that sometimes it can be hard to tell from just pictures. Whatever she is I have to say that she is super adorable.

She was abandoned as a pup with a brother and a sister, and I adopted her when she was about two months old. She might be an undesired litter from a hunter, or she might be an experiment to find a better hunting dog, I don't know. But, returning to the breeds, in Spain podencos are breed like working line border collies by some herders in other parts of the world: they are not selected by looks, but by working ability, so her parents might not be up to the standard.

Oh, I know. I spent more than half a decade researching my breeds very thoroughly. My Galgo is actually a discarded hunting dog imported from Spain.

Plus, there are many different Podenco breeds and types. I was never any good at guessing mixes from pictures. I typically need to be around the dog and put my hands on it, watch it move, and really study it.

Half a decade? That's time :yikes: But that's a really good way to do things. Congratulations on your patience and dedication. And it's always good to know when galgos are adopted and get a, in most cases, better life.

Yes, there's also Podenco Andaluz, Canario, Maneto (wich I honestly doubt ). But I figured that starting to talk about those breeds would only confuse more people, mainly because they aren't breeds on the AKC.

Anyway, if it can help, when Natasha walks, all her paws meet in the center of her body, but when she trots off-leash, there's no doubt its a pointer trot, at least to my eyes, that could be very wrong. I don't have videos, sorry, but in the first post there's a pic where you can apreciate it.
