Killed it today. Ate really well, had one game tonight (that went extra innings) then came home, lifted a little and then took a run. I'm drenched and burning right now and I feel freaking awesome!

Finished my first T25 workout. I was NOT prepared for that lol. It was tough and I barely made it through... I modified with Tania A LOT and i was close to quitting with ten minutes left lol but I pushed through. The heat today did not help and I ha to take a break and use my inhaler quick but I did it :) and despite everything I just said, I did enjoy it.

What do you MEAN my diet doesn't include beer, pizza and mozzarella sticks?

Fell off the wagon last night big time. Still got the munchies from the beer this morning.

We pretended we were sled dogs this morning and pulled/pushed these prowler sled things with weights on them up and down the sidewalk. There may be photos later lol.
Oh God. My constant fear is I'm going to slip, fall with the FULL FORCE of my body, and completely bash my face open on the ground.

I saw a video the other day of Adrian Peterson doing some workouts while he was working on his comeback after his injury. One of the workouts was apparently a restrained send LOL. He had a belt around his abs with a handle off the back, and a trainer was pulling back on the handle as Peterson ran in place... then he would let go and Peterson would just explode forth and run across the field.
In theory, great idea!!
In actuality, I'm fairly certain as soon as the trainer would let go I would explode forth... straight down into the ground. BOOM. Faceplant.

I have possibly unreasonable fears about bashing my face during workouts LOL. Lifting weight plates up while doing squats? My mantra is "Don't hit your face, don't hit your face, don't hit your face..."

My mantra for doing wall balls is "don't let the ball land on your face, don't let the ball land on your face" I took a 20lb medicine ball to the nose the first time I did them.

Just finished speed 1.0 I liked it mich better than the first cardio LOL but then ten minutes of burnout was killer lol. I tried a new lacing technique on my shoes to try to alleviate the numbness issues I sometimes have due to my ridiculously high instep. It helped but I think I may need to lose one more criss cross near the top.

Still on the wagon. Been going well! Still getting sore, but my diets been easy to stick to so far and it hasn't been terribly hard to motivate myself to work out. Even this morning when my legs were SUPER sore from the day before.

Just got back from my run. It was thunderstorming. No active rain (darn it, I always liked running in the rain) but some pretty cool lightning across the sky. Sweaty as all get out and properly tired. Need to make a quick trip to the grocery store, then a shower and bed.

For grins, here is how hard I'm working (caution, eeeeewwww factor):

As of this morning's weigh in, my BMI is below 30. That makes me "overweight" instead of "obese". First time in over 20 years :D

Finished ab intervals. It was awesome. I loved that one. It went by so fast. I am feeling it in my abs for sure and it was hard work but it was suh a welcome break for my poor legs and arms... Even though there was a lot of planking but I just couldn't do another push up after yesterday! Lol now replenishing fluids with my giant cup the size of my head lol

I think this is the best place to ask this question:

Have any of you noticed a particular age when your metabolism noticeably slowed down?

Just curious about this.

Hmmm, that's tough to say. I'd say for me it was about the time I stopped exercising regularly, which was in my early/mid 20's. Now that I'm exercising regularly, I feel my metabolism is firing on all cylinders again. I have energy and the "binge" days don't pack on the pounds.

As a side note, I blogged about my "now I'm overweight" status on sparkpeople.com and got voted as a "featured" blog post :D

Not sure if you need an account there to read it, but http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5429436

You're not really looking at age precisely - for women you're looking at hormones, which of course age affects, but so does our habit for chucking birth control into our bodies like chemical warfare is going out of style. It's not an easy answer either because everybody's hormonal patterns are different just as a rule. It's like asking "at what age do you get your first period?" or "at what age do you go into menopause?" There's a general age range, but everybody is different. The biggest hormonal changes for women as adults are usually around early adulthood, then again at menopause.

If you've got good insurance, you might want to go to your doctor and have them check your hormone levels and see if something is out of balance. I've been thinking about it but my insurance is NOT good so I don't think I can afford it.

People also generally exercise less as they get older and that slows your metabolism down too. We get busier, our bodies start hurting on us, lots of reasons why. So it appears age has an affect on it, but it's our habits more than anything.

So my body is rebelling against my first week of T25. It's a very intense workout and my body is like AHHHHH. Eat all the food conserve all the weight. I shot up 7lbs in two days putting me back over 190 and i am hungry... SO hungry lol

But I think it's starting to even out and calm down now lol... I dropped just over two lbs over night.
