Get to Iowa and I'll drive you the rest of the way. I've driven to bowling green twice in the last six months. I'd totally drive to Falon's, even just so Nico and Kastle could have a pee off.

If that happens I am totally down for a Chaz brown/stripey dog meet up. For seriously.

Holy crow, you guys are crazy and indescribably, inexpressibly amazing. If I had the money/means to make the trip (especially now that I've given it a lot of thought), I'm pretty certain that I would absolutely take this dog.

Falon + Maggie, I will message one (or both) of you guys soon to get a feel for what the application/adoption process involves. I have a feeling there are several applications sent in for this dog already, and I definitely don't expect the rescue to hold off on approving them when I still have a rather large obstacle to sort out.

OMG do it Grace!! More Mals all around!!!
I blame you and Adrianne for the most part, just so you know :p

EEK! I'm super (guardedly) excited for you. THINK OF THE GREATNESS WITH VEX AND TRENT! What a duo that would be.

*Flail around* No idea if I'm helpful geographically but if I am, I'd totally be down for helping too as long I can. I'm always up for helping a Maligator meet his person. :D

shhhh, don't get excited yet. I know I can't, not just yet D: Like I mentioned earlier, I do have tuition and a recent vet bill that I had to pay (sold my camera for the latter). Plus, with the recent health scare with Trent I've learned to keep aside a handful of cash just for possible emergencies, and I'd definitely need that if I had two dogs. General care and expenses can be covered no problem, but if it's all at once it'll be tough.

If I were looking at even a few months into the future, I could very likely get together the funds to make a round trip (even if it means selling camera equipment). Buuuut, on short notice? It's uncertain.

Just going to see where this goes. I'm keeping hopeful :)

If I can make it to Iowa, I'd love to take Hillside up on her amazing offer... we could drive through Illinois for a pointy brown dog road trip + meet up? :D

I said guardedly! Lol. I didn't realize that Trent had a health scare! Is he okay?!

This is the goofiest dog ever! He may be a bit of a handful for cats. They were out when he was in his crate yesterday in the living room and they were playing in this milk crate of DVDs. Today he is staring at that spot, and trying to check out every time he gets out.

Also, most happy dog ever. I tried to get after him for being naughty and he is just so flaily and SUPER FREAKIN' HAPPY, it's hard to get the message across...and not laugh.

We do, but nothing "good" yet. Definitely look sooner rather than later. I am holding off on neutering him until we have a likely home for him so even if you decide yes, get approved, it will be a little while before you'd have to come see him.

And the photos :D

I would be happy to start a Chipin and donate a fair amount myself but first we need you to PM, take some time, see some videos, and be sure you're ready. The money can be found, you just decide if this is right for you, first. ;)

Thanks so much Adrianne - your offer (and the rest of Chaz's) plus vote of confidence mean a great deal to me. I've chatted with Falon, and have sent the rescue a message as well.

I definitely want to make the absolute best decision for everyone involved, including Vex, the rescue, and myself. Mostly I wasn't sure how urgently the rescue has been trying to place Vex, but from what Falon has said it looks like I will have some time. I will absolutely be doing my research and thinking some more on this (I'm an overthinker) before making plans.

Logistically, it would probably make more sense for you to just fly to Falon's. It is still a bit of a drive to get there from Iowa. That said, if you show up on my doorstep, the offer is still valid. Lol.

Oh, absolutely. I'll continue to talk to Falon about Vex (once Falon is doing better!!) and keep thinking and planning things through before I really get into the logistics.
