Also just wanted to add when you first get it keep an eye on your app downloads if you aren't on Wifi. Some of those are huge.

I've seen where people say a message pops up when an app is over a certain size but for some reason mine doesn't seem to always do that and that's pushed me over a few times. Totally my fault for not paying attention but it is something to watch for.

I don't understand tapatalk. I can browse the forums on my phone just like here, they are just scaled down. Admittedly I have never used nor seen it, but I just don't get the need?

I personally don't like how it displays forums. I do have a few other forums I like to read that don't scale very well on phones. But never really any issues with Chaz *aside from the website crashes I run into but nothing the tapatalk can do about that*

This is the message I get, unless there is a setting you have turned off I don't know, but everyone of our 12+ iPhones have done this.

As for data packages I can't help, I have a 6 gig plan that I share with my son, her have never come close to going over...ever.

I get that about half the time. But just yesterday I downloaded a VN without it saying a thing.

I had an HTC windows phone (the first gen windows phone) & I hated it, then it quit on me & that's how I got my iPhone. But I am very nice to it, it doesn't go to the barn, or even to the truck when it's too hot. I bought knelt those anti impact cases for it because I have dropped it once before (it was ok).

Still part of me is curious about the "destroy proof" galaxy they have been advertising on tv. They say you can submerge it in water & whatever & it will still work, but I don't know ... Sounds too good to be true.

I think it depends on the device. Though yah, I've never had an issue reading forums on my phone (android) or my iPod.

I only get the "needs wifi" message when I'm updating IOS ... Which is a pain in the ass because I am almost never around wifi unless I am at work.

Never needed tapa talk, forums look fine for me, plus I like seeing everyone's siggies.

I like Tapatalk well enough. It does making browsing easier, though there are a few things I don't like, such as how it removes posts you've already seen and I have to go digging. Also, it's slow to load photos.

Umm, I have Boost and my data works awesome. It is faster than my friends ATT service. So it probably depends on the area you're in. Plus, I have unlimited everything for 40$ month, totally worth it.

I wish I could go with one of those companies, the ranch is vey remote & none of the smaller companies will get signal out here & with my folks getting older want them to be able to get ahold of me in the event of an emergency.

Umm. Boost uses sprint towers so gets the same service as sprint.

Sprint doesn't work out here, neither does Verizon, so any of the small companies who use their towers won't work out here either, the only ones who will are T mobile (because they use AT&T's towers) & AT&T.

Fiancée has boost & my data is twice as fast as his is ... But he got one of their cheaper smartphones so maybe that has something to do with it.

I like Tapatalk because it lets you see all of the unread topics, just topics that you've participated in or all topics. It's easy to read and scroll. I feel like when I'm browsing on the web on my phone I have to zoom in to read posts, use the back button and just generally have to put more effort into it. I also like that I can post pictures right from my phone to the forum.

i used to be a big android fan ( still am ) but six months ago i thought its time to just try the iphone....and i love it...its very friendly..very nice...wont say better then the galaxy 3-4 but devenitly in the same level.
