I haven't had much time to get pics like I use to. You can tell how long some of these pics have been sitting on my camera, what with the snow and all.

This was a nice shepherd mix. I can't remember his name. He was adopted some time ago. Such a nice young dog.

I can't remember this mastiff mix's name either. She was adopted pretty fast.

Troi and Riker enjoyed a little time in the village recently. They are still available for adoption or foster. I wonder if we'll ever find anyone for them because FOHA wants them to be adopted/fostered together and it's hard enough to work with one hoarder dog at a time, let alone two of them. They are nice dogs, no aggression issues and they get along well with other dogs, but Riker will always be somewhat wary of people. Troi has gotten better, and will only continue to improve in a home. Whether or not either can be housebroken remains to be seen.

This is Ajax, one of FOHA's "problem children". He has some issues with being picked up and handled in general, and he would need a home with no children, preferably with a single adult who is old and ornery just as he is. I like Ajax though, I think he's cute (when he's being good, that is).

OMG I KNOW Ajax.... is he still taking ace?? His owners were really upset about having to give him up, but he has some serrrrriiiiooouuusssss issues with kids and they had a baby not too long ago. They tried so hard to make it work with the baby, but he got worse after the baby was born. He bit me pretty good one time too when I tried to leash him to take him for a walk.... I'm actually not a fan of that dog at all though. :( I hope he finds a home that understands his needs and will be a good fit for him.

This Dozer, another mastiff mix. He was adopted too. We received an update recently that he's doing well and his family adores him. That's all we ask for. :)

This cute coonie is Ranger, and he is still available for adoption. It can take a bit to get the coonies adopted, they tend to be a bit louder and higher energy than a lot of families are looking for. He's a good dog for a hound lover though, very sweet and full of life.

"Bring me hoooooooooooooommmee!"

More pics of Doogie. I wish he'd find a home that keeps him. He didn't get along with the other dog in the first one, and in the second one he bit a kid because the family didn't tell the kids to stop climbing on him and using him as a living stuffed animal (the family freely admitted to letting their kids torture Doogie). He really is a good dog and if he could just find a family with no other dogs and a few brain cells he'd do fine.

Batman here used to be one of our "ferals" (he liked to be pet but was miserable if kept inside). He died recently of cancer. RIP Batsy, it's not the same without you.

Kiki is another "feral". He's cute, I pet him sometimes. He can be butt to the other cats though.

That's all!

I have no idea if he's still taking ace. I feel for his previous owners. I think they made the right choice. I'd rather Ajax be at FOHA than in their home mauling the baby. Ajax does have issues with the leash. I can leash him/unleash him without a problem, but other people are not so lucky. I keep remembering Rembrandt, the nastiest little old dog I've ever had the displeasure of meeting (at FOHA, anyway). He got a home, so maybe Ajax will get one too.

There was a couple times I had to use the catch pole to unleash him sadly because he wouldn't let me get the slip lead off of him. I tried using the assist hand first, but he attacked it so bad that he made his mouth bleed. I feel bad for his previous owners too. They were having such a tough time making this decision. We were concerned when the baby was born and wondered what would happen because we knew he was going to be an issue. Gotta hand it to them for at least trying to make it work. He is pretty predictable at least... you pretty much know that if you go near him or try to handle him in any way he is going to try to bite you.... but I totally understand them making the decision to give him up. If it were my dog I probably would have decided euthanasia because he has bitten and he's bitten lots, but I do hope he finds a good home. If he is on his ace he still is crazy and bites sometimes, but he is nowhere near as bad as he is when he is not taking his ace. His previous owners have another dog named Ziggy that I totally adore.
