In depression
Got a call from my friends mom that I'm good friends with. Wanted to know what would happen when she brings her dog to the shelter.

AWESOME.

At least it's for (at least what I feel) a legitimate reason. Two of her girls are fighting, the smaller one instigates it but then loses, and they've also got small kids in the house.
Ah that's fair, but sad. Anyway you could convince her to try to place her dog in rescue instead?

And my actually vent...

That's where I'm at.

WTF has Fable been doing??? Today I realized she was missing both upper canines and one lower. Some of her other teeth are chipped, too.
I'm so worried about what caused this, the money it will take if she needs root canals or extraction of the remaining bits, as well as being extremely uncomfortable that her best defense is gone.

All 3 of the teeth are gone up to the gum line. She is showing zero signs of pain, is eating well, but the last thing we need is for her to get a bunch of infections.

I also want to know how this happened. Chewing on the crate bars or fence is likely, plus I wonder if her teeth are weakened from being malnourished as a pup.

Just gah.

Omfg Adrianne. My thoughts are with Moo. I love Moo.
This.

Adrienne, (((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))) :(

Not sure if this is a vent, but I've gained ten pounds. My ass doesn't fit into my bikini bottoms. And some of my work clothes don't fit. That's really the only way it's inconveniencing me, but it's annoying.

I would bet bar biting. I had some (a lot) issues when Kastle was young. His canines are all gouged and he has a chipped incisor...and two missing teeth. I ended up muzzling him until the behavior (he still TRIED to bite the bars) slowed way down, then I switched him from a wire kennel to a varikennel and then into a pen with square bars. He rarely bites them anymore. I'm not sure if the "training" worked or he outgrew it...or both. He's never in a wire crate anymore if I can help it though.

Today a hospital security guard asked if I was "with child" and I laughed and said no (which I've gotten recently because we didn't tell a lot of people we were getting married so people who didn't know assume it happened overnight -- and people only get married quickly or privately when someone gets pregnant, obvs).

He then went on to say, "oh, well.....I noticed a little poof" (pointing to my stomach)

Reeeally.
Jerk.

This was after he watched me lift 200lbs into my car by myself.
