Ok so I am intrigued, so what are some good fan fiction that you guys recommend for us fan fiction virgins to read?
Well, that would depend what world you would like to read?

What are some books, TV shows, movies that you like the characters enough you would like to read more of?

ETA: http://archiveofourown.org/ and http://www.fanfiction.net/ are two of my favorite places to find stories and a good place to start and decide what you want to read (Both have decent sorting options)

And if you want original stories http://www.fictionpress.com/ is all original work.

It must be how people who aren't into dogs feel when they come to a dog forum, listening to people speak about fandom while not knowing/being part of/understanding must just sound like a completely different language.
LOL! I never thought of it that way, but it's pretty accurate. I only know some of the terms because my sister is really, really into the whole fictional character relationship thing. She gets pretty overzealous and worked up about the whole thing, poor girl :rofl1:

I've read a few before, but this is the only one I really actually liked. It's short, just one chapter, and it's Harry Potter :) link here

I always want to experiment with cooking, but I can never justify doing it for just myself, and Rick hates trying new things.

I'm never dating another Taurus ever again.

Libras and I seem to mesh well, though.

Never been this into astrology before.

I'm wondering if I did the right thing telling someone that if it comes down to putting their dog in the shelter, I'd be willing to take him as long as he gets along with Chase.

I am never drinking again. Ever.

I don't remember getting home last night and there are photos on my phone I don't remember and calls I would swear blind I didn't make. including ones to my 14 year old sister. Can someone kill me please?

It greatly amuses me that closing the laptop (especially in the morning) has become a cue for all the dogs to race excitedly to the back door. :p

YES! Well, it's their cue to run to my bedroom door but exactly. Drives me nuts!

Kaylee sometimes will close it for me if I'm taking too long.

I'm trying to decide if I want to buy a ticket for tomorrow night's performance of Les Mis now, or wait and try to get one two hours before the show.

Now: I can get the seat I want (accessible, with room for Logan), and I an guaranteed a seat at tomorrow night's performance. The matinee performance for tomorrow is already sold out 100%. Not sure about tonight's, because it's not online anymore. But mostly, it means not having to stuff Logan halfway under the seat and hope his butt isn't in the way, and not having to sit next to an usher that WON'T. STOP. TALKING...AND who had her phone ring in the middle of "On My Own" >.<

Tomorrow: Tickets are half price 2 hours before showtime. That's about the only perk.

I have already seen it once this week (and 3 times 5 years ago when it was here), but I'd like to see it again, as it'll be over 10 years before it's here again because it's going back on Broadway soon.

I..... bought my dog a prong today.

I'm not sure what this world is coming to.

Lol I don't have an issue with other people using prongs, I just never saw myself using one. But you know, I was more upset about the whole thing than she was. She doesn't care. Of course, I have to cover it with a bandana so I don't have to look at it.

There's some fan fiction I just can't do. The more I love a story, the less likely I am to read fanfic about it. Like with Harry Potter I'm just too obsessive and critical, like, "What? He/she/they would NEVER do that!" or "Nooooo, that **** is sacred, don't mess with it!" xD I guess it's just not for me.

I started watching Meerkat Manor, which never really interested me enough to devote a lot of time to it, but I am so in love! I adore all the meerkats and I'm already in a place where I cry like a baby if something happens to one of the little guys.
And on a slight tangent, Animal Planet, you suck. You used to be awesome, but I went looking for MM episodes on their site and instead I found ones of their typical shows- a show about mermaids, "extreme fishing," haunted houses, something about some guy wrestling a tortoise; no bueno.

They sell collar covers that go on them perfectly to make it look like a martingale. Also, I <3 prongs for really strong/stubborn dogs. So much easier to train a LLW and not hurt myself or get frustrated.

I never saw myself using a prong either. A few years ago I would have told you I never would use a prong. I still will never use a prong on Bamm, but I have used one on Cricket before and it is still a backup go to for when I know we are going to be in higher distraction areas and I need that extra control because my hands hurt so bad when dogs pull me. If you are worried about people looking and being OMG PRONG you can cover with a bandana like you said. I use a starmark collar on Joey that works similar to a prong, but from a distance it just looks like a plastic collar. I love that thing and it has been a life saver with Joey because I live in an area with thousands of squirrels and he is a typical sighthound and OMG MUST GET ALL THE SQUIRRELS!!! He has gotten much better and I pair the starmark with a LOT of training so he is considerably better. I'm not ready to transition him back to a regular martingale yet though.

My musing for the day. My biological mother is coming to town today. She never comes to visit me but this will be her second business trip out this way within the past couple months an she only comes out this way for business. I saw her a few weeks ago and while I do love her and she is my mother I don't want to sit through her talking about how amazing her fiancé is. Mind you she will isn't officially divorced to my stepdad and the whole situation is just uncomfortable to me. My mom is classic narcissistic personality disorder type and while she says this guy isn't going to try and play dad to me, I already know she is going to eventually start calling him my step dad and try to push him into my life. No. So I'm not sure if seeing her is a vent or not. Of course I want to see her. She is my mother and regardless I do love her, but at the same time I'm not looking forward to an hour or so of listening to, "OMG HE IS SO WONdERFUL AND YOU WILL JUST LOVE HIM!!!!" And "OMG AMBER HE IS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL MAN!" Oy ....

Last visit she tried to show me pics of him posing all model-like and showing off his muscles on a beach. Help.
