Sometimes I just have a quote or a lyric on my mind, and I don't know if other people do that or not, lol, but if you do, post yours here!

"Nobody said it was easy
It's such a shame for us to part
Nobody said it was easy
No one ever said it would be this hard
Oh, take me back to the start." - Coldplay

Ugh... I am always waking up in the middle of the night with songs in my head.

Last night it was:

"God is good... all the time. he put a song of praise in this heart of mine. God is good... all the time. In the darkest night his light will shine. God is good, God is good, all the time"

it was all I could do to not actually do the clapping in the middle of the night. it's such a catchy song lol

"My Grandpa's old Gibson" - Chances Are from the Country Strong album. Just that line. In my head. ALL DAY LONG. In a twangy, sexy voice. :rofl1:

I get stuff stuck in my head constantly, to the point where I feel like putting an ice pick in my brain to dig it out. I'm not sure if your question is referring to that, or to lyrics or quotes that you contemplate.

I've spent the last week or so with one line (just one, of course!) from Roll Away Your Stone/Mumford and Sons. There's a part where it is kind of quiet, and then kind of suddenly Stars, hide your fires! These here are my desires

Now whenever it is quiet, in my head or around me, I mentally burst out with that line.

Someone pass the ice pick?

I've had
"Dance with the boogie get down
Dance with the boogie get down
'Cause boogie nights are always
The best in town"

in my head for the past four days.

For some reason I've been really really stuck on this quote recently:
"Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light"
-The Great Albus Dumbledore :p

I want to paint it on my wall or something.

'O, Death. O, Death.
Won't you spare me over 'til another year?
Well, what is this that I can't see
With ice cold hands takin' hold of me.
Well I am death, none can excel
I'll open the door to heaven or hell.'

Over and over and over...

Ever since yesterday, I've "When I was arrested, I was dressed in black. They put me on a train and they took me bacl" from Johnny Cash's "Cocaine Blues" running through my head. Probably because I had it blasting in the truck on my way home from work yesterday.

I meant the latter, but either way is fine! Lol!

"I've been talking to God for so long, and if you look at my life, I guess he's talking back" from Kanye's part in the song "clique". I want that tattooed on me, but I'm not sure I'd ever do it.

Also the lyrics to "hanging by a moment" by lifehouse
"Masterpiece" by Bayside
And Lego House by Ed Sheeran

I have "The mountains are calling me, and I must go" stuck in my head a lot. It's a quote by John Muir.

I get the lyrics to "If It's The Beaches" by The Avett Brothers stuck in my head quite often to.

And a poem I can't remember who it's by, and I'm too lazy to look it up right now, but it says something about "I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and sky, and all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by" or something close to that. It's not called Sea Change because that's a book by Jack London, but it's close to that if anyone wants to look up the whole poem.

"Payphone" by Maroon 5. Holy ****, in my head and my heart lately. Overplayed, I hate the song but love the sentiment behind it.

I'm at a payphone trying to call home,
All of my change, I spent on you.

>.<
