Did my math test and it was okay. Scored in the 99th percentile for arithmetic and 86th for algebra. They don't tell us what's needed for the programs buuuut I think I'm okay.

My kiddo was extra good today. We picked up Aesop's meds and a few other store items with no crankiness. Then (after I got him a snack, because a full toddler is a quiet toddler) we made a (very fast, because I forgot the stroller, which is our 'keep the kiddo from dashing away, safeguard) trip to the library. The security guy there is older and precious, and gave him a sucker (after first asking me if it was ok, before even pulling a sucker out, points to him :) ) and Clive thanked him. He's very good about saying thanks at home and, I think, at daycare, but sometimes he gets a bit shy in public. He also picked out two books for us to read at home.

So, I got a new job. Part time, 10 hours a week. Probably the best benefits ever... free rehab care for my dogs.

Yeah, I'm just a little bit stoked... :)

I went to Riverfest again today, because there was supposed to be a service dog presentation. There was not. There were a couple tables in the street with info on a couple guide dog schools, and the announcer called the ONE other service dog there a "guide dog" even though it was a wheelchair mobility dog :wall:

BUT. I was approached by two festival officials and asked if I would come and do a demo next year! YES! OF COURSE I WILL! So now I'm super excited :D

Just made a very difficult decision. But now that the decision is made I feel good about it and at peace with the whole thing. It is the right decision.
For once talking things out with my mom actually helped, haha.

Just have to be prepared for the vicious backlash.

I'm happy for you, Beanie. :) It's always an empowering thing, and even people who feel like bitching can't take that away from you.

I just remembered that June 3rd was the 5 year anniversary of adopting Rowan :) I thought about making a thread for it, but really all I have to say is that I'm the luckiest person for finding him, and that I absolutely adore him more than I ever thought possible. <3 He is my best boy.

Speaking of amazing dogs, I also have a consultation set up with a tattoo artist on Thursday! Yay! I'm getting my childhood dog's collar tattooed on me.

Aww, happy gotcha day, Rowan! :)

That's great! I cannot wait until I get get my Millie tattoo. Unfortunately I just don't have the funds to find a good enough shop at the moment. The level of detail I want will make it ridiculously expensive.

My good news:
I went to take the rent to the landlord and put it in the "secret place" (just like the secret, yet very obvious spots for hiding spare house keys), and there was a gift for me! Such pretty, pearl hair clips. It makes me so happy because over the years my relationship with this woman has been strained and sometimes downright awful. But she was so thoughtful enough to leave me a surprise belated birthday gift for me to find. Regarding her, things are looking up. Having a negative relationship with the person who has power over where you live and how much you pay is no fun. Making up is. :)

Good for you. I've been feeling like this quite often lately. I got sick of having everyone pushing me around, but sometimes I still feel bad for going against what some people think I should do.

I kinda feel like a BAMF when the people at the vet ask if I need a muzzle, and I get to say that I have my own. :p

The real good news is that Frodo had pretty much the best experience at the vet ever today. And that makes me the happiest!

Cricket is clearly feeling SO much better. I took her back to the vet on Monday because her tail seemed very painful - it was slightly infected, so she got put on antibiotics, which seem to be helping a great deal. The vet said that other than that it was healing very nicely, and took about half of the stitches out. Cricket goes back tomorrow to get the rest of them out, if everything is looking good.

Riverfest bringd out the worst of people...and the best of people! I'm sitting next to the nicest man ever. He offered to throw my trash out for me so I don't have to wade through crows with Logan. Then his wife brought him a non-diet soda, but he's diabetic, so he gave it to me. Wouldn't accept payment (a soda is like $3 at Riverfest!).
