We do, and use it mostly to heat water or steam veggies.

We don't have one, we haven't had one since the move, and we're not sure if we plan to get one. I was just wondering if we're alone. I do miss it for some really easy fixes but yeah... we're surviving well thus far.

We have one that is mounted in the cabinet above our stove. Mostly it's for the "packaged" type of stuff (veggies, hot pockets, etc) or for defrosting frozen bagels or making popcorn. Not a lot of "meals" are cooked in it. We heat water for tea/coffee/hot chocolate and the kids will make ramen noodles in it sometimes. I also use the kitchen timer on it when cooking something in the toaster oven.

So, it's used daily.

I have one. I don't use it all that often... Mostly just to heat up soup on days where I am starving & dog tired.

I use mine almost daily. I make a lot of OAMC breakfasts to freeze and then reheat them, mostly egg muffins. I also buy meat in bulk and freeze it, so I use it to thaw the meat out before I cook it. Also melting coconut oil or cheese. Aaaaaand bacon. A lot of bacon.

The newer microwave we have at home is so much better than the old microwave at work. It does a much better job of reheating something to warm and not actually "cooking" it further. The old microwave is crappy and tends to jump right from "haha, you thought it wasn't frozen anymore, didn't you?" to "LOL now it's totally overdone." Having a NICE microwave has totally changed my perspective on using the microwave to reheat something.

I would miss it if I didn't have it, but since I'm only feeding me, that changes how I cook and use food. Also being poor changes how I interact with meat, haha. The biggest time I would miss it is in the mornings really, but that's because I am the opposite of a morning person and a few extra minutes of sleep is A Big Deal to me. =P

This is where I am. I think my roomies might vaguely want one. But no one wants one enough to pay for it.

For heating things up I just use the toaster oven. I <3 my toaster oven lol.

I use it for reheating stuff. Mostly just for soup I think.

I'm not going to heat up the whole oven just for one little bowl of soup, and my bowls aren't safe to put on an element, which means I would have to dirty up a pot plus a bowl. So I just use the microwave.

I use it to heat up milk for that delicious liquid chocolate I submerse mini marshmallows in, and bacon. It's a critical part of my life.

We have one and I use it a few times a week. There's not many things that don't taste good coming out of the microwave.

I do reheat foods, cook premade dinners (frozen tray foods), those yummy veggie and cheese steam bags, thaw frozen breads.

How am I supposed to make my Hot Pockets without a microwave? DUH.

We have a Microwave Oven, and that Microwave Oven puts out tens of thousands of microwaves, so yes we have microwaves by default. :p

Nope!!
Because we don't want to pay for one, and we have an oven.

If I really need to use one, I go upstairs and use Megan's. In return, she uses our toaster. Mutually beneficial relationship :p

We use it to cook those "steam in a bag" veggies, melt butter, and reheat leftovers mostly. Seriously looking into getting a combo microwave/toaster oven though.

We have one (it's mounted above our stove) and we barely use it. If it didn't come with the house, we probably wouldn't have purchased one.

We'll use the microwave for things like melting butter and reheating some leftovers. I prefer to use the stove top for heating things like sauces and soups, and I like to use the toaster oven for reheating pizza and other things like that.

We have one, but only because it came with the apartment. :p I honesty don't even know how to use it. :rofl1: Which means, besides making popcorn. I never use it.
Like it just dawned on me, I could defrost frozen bread in there. DUH. I DID NOZ EVEN THING OF THIS BEFORE. God the times I've been annoyed at empty bread in the morning. :p
